In an impressive feat of craftsmanship, a player has turned their Nintendo Switch docking station into a 3D Nook’s Cranny shop fromAnimal Crossing: New Horizons.
According to creator Mr_Pioupiou on Reddit, the miniature shop was constructed entirely out of poplar plywood, wood glue, and ink. The artist did not share their designs, but confirmed they sell finished products at their shop, and were willing to DM links to interested parties. A modified docking station would certainly be easier to ship than other fan creations like a fullAnimal Crossing-themed nursery, though both are charming tributes to the series.

The custom dock features a storefront with a textured door that can store Switch game cartridges, windows with plants in the window boxes, a deposit box that can open, a free-standing sign out front, and a roof with a large sign that reads “Boutique Nook.” Digital fan works like oneAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsisland turned intoResident Evil Villagedon’t have to worry about potentially breaking a physical device the way these modifications could. Fortunately, while these mods are very intricate, Mr_Pioupiou included a photograph of the Switch, proving the docking station is still usable.
Mr_Pioupiou’s miniature Nook’s Cranny was warmly received on Reddit, where several users requested links to the creator’s shop. One user, after learning Mr_Pioupiou had done the entire thing as a one-man project, suggested that the artist sell project kits.
