Friday, November 5 will see the release ofAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsupdate 2.0, adding signifcant new content to the social simulation game. But while there’s plenty of free content coming toAnimal Crossing: New Horizonson November 5, fans also have some paid DLC to look forward to as well.
On November 5,Animal Crossing: New Horizonswill launch the Happy Home Paradise DLC. ThisAnimal Crossing: New Horizonspaid DLC will cost $24.99 as a one-time purchase, but it’s also available as a freebie through the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack. Specific release date information for theNintendo Switch Online Expansion Packwasn’t announced at the time of this writing, but it was confirmed that individual memberships will cost $49.99 for 12 months while family memberships will cost $79.99 for 12 months.

TheAnimal Crossing: New HorizonsHappy Home Paradise DLC will let players travel to a brand new location. After players receive a recommendation fromTom Nook, they will be able to use the airport to travel to Paradise Planning, a resort planner that specializes in building vacation homes.Animal Crossing: New Horizonsplayers will be able to work for Paradise Planning to help design dream vacation homes for variousAnimal Crossingcharacters.
Players will be able to select the island where this vacation home will be, then design the building, select theAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsfurniturethat will be in it, and even decorate the yard. The paid DLC will greatly expand howAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsplayers are able to customize things in the game, and those with the paid DLC will be able to take their skills and put them to work on their own island as well.
Using theAnimal Crossing: New HorizonsNookPhone, players will be able to revisit the island homes they’re decorated and check in on their clients. They can redecorate the vacation homes, encourage clients to be roommates, and more. They’ll also be able to design other facilities besides vacation homes, with examples given including schools, restaurants, and hospitals.
Needless to say, theAnimal Crossing: New HorizonsHappy Home Paradise DLC is adding significant content to the game. Those who already unlocked all of theAnimal Crossing: New HorizonsNook Miles rewardsand are satisfied with how their island works will have a lot more to do once the paid DLC and free update roll around on November 5.
