After beatingArmored Core 6for the first time, players will find that they have been sent back to the beginning of Chapter 1 and can now embark on an NG+ playthrough. While much about the game remains the same in this new playthrough, there are some changes, and indeed there are incentives to completeArmored Core 6multiple times. This guide is here to provide more details on those changes, and it will help players decide if they should undertake an NG+ playthrough.

Armored Core 6: NG+ Explained

To begin, it is important to establish that many things from the first playthrough are carried over into NG+. Specifically, fans will find that they still have access to all their unlocked parts and COAM, and that their progress in the Arena has been maintained. These carry-overs mean thatArmored Core 6playersshould be able to progress through NG+ quite easily, especially since the game’sdifficulty does not increasefor subsequent playthroughs.

With respect to the changes, NG+ introduces the concept ofALT Mission, which allow players to experience missions that they have previously completed in new ways. There is also a brand-newDecision Mission, additional parts to purchase and unlock, and more Arena content to experience in NG+. Fans can also use NG+ as an opportunity to pursue Decision Missions that they did not select on their preceding playthrough, and that will ultimately lead them to adifferent endingto the game.

This is not the end of the story, though, as the biggest changes appear inNG++.Indeed, a ton of new ALT, Decision, and standard missions become available in a third playthrough of the game, and completing them is the way by which players can earnArmored Core 6’s true ending. There is also new Arena content as well as some of the game’s most powerful parts in NG++, further incentivizing fans to work through the game again.

ac6 new game plus changes

In fact, the amount of new content that appears in NG++ seems to suggest that the developer’s intentions are for players tobeatArmored Core 6multiple times. Indeed, while some fans will be happy to be finished with the game after earning their first ending, they will undoubtedly miss out on quite a lot of content. Players are thus advised to plan for at least three playthroughs, and they can even consider going further if they want to continue trying out new builds and destroying mechs.
