Assassin’s Creed Valhallaplayers have taken to the shores of Ireland in the newWrath of the DruidsDLC and seen the island as it was in the 800s. From north to south and east to west there are new quest lines to follow, systems to master, and mysteries to solve in this, the first DLC for the game. One of these mysteries is actually the ultimate challenge forAssassin’s Creed Valhallaplayers. This is, of course, the quest linecalledThorgest’s Drengir.

Similar to theLost Drengir inAssassin’s Creed Valhalla, this quest asks players to hunt down and fight two legendary Viking fighters: Blud the Giant and Hogne the Sea Tossed. These 1v1 encounters are some of the most challenging in the game and, inWrath of the Druids, these two Drengir seemingly fit the bill. On top of the challenge, players must also defeat these two opponents in order to complete the Dublin Champion Armor Set.

These Drengir formally fought along the side of Thorgest, the founder of the Kingdom of Dublin many years prior to the events ofAssassin’s Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids.Since that figure’s death, however, these two have been living out their days attempting to find a glorious death in battle at the far reaches of the map. Similar to the Lost Drengir in the main game, Blud the Giant and Hogne the Sea Tossed will ask the player for a 1v1 battle to the death and will require a short death ceremony to be formally defeated.

Thorgest’s Drengir Locations

Blud the Giant can be found near the northeastern tip of Ulster in a location known as the Giant’s Causeway. One of the most unique areas in the game, players must first walk past a number of Blud’s former challengers in order to find the Viking. To initiate the battle, players must approach and talk with Blud and listen to their tale of life, and plea for a glorious death in battle.

In order to complete the quest, this wish must be granted. Players need to have their wits about them as this battle takes quick reflexes and a fair bit of skill. Players should be aware that Blud is the heavy-hitter of the pair and duel-wields heavy weapons in the battle. But, once taken down, Blud mentions the presence of another former fighter for Thorgest as well as grantsthe reward the Dublin Champion Torso.

Hogne the Sea-Tossed is located off the western Irish coast on an island in the north of Connacht known as Downpatrick Head. The island is across from a fast travel dock point and is just a quick swim or boat ride away. Once on the island, players just need to either climb directly up to the top of the island or walk the path along the sides of the island all the way up.

Once again this fight can only start after talking with the warrior. Hogne, like Blud, seeks to be sent to the afterlife through an epic fight and is an equal challenge for unexpecting players. He is the faster moving of the two and deals quite a lot of damage with quick strikes. Other than experience, players receive the Dublin Champion Breeches for winning this encounter.

Thorgest’s Drengir are not for the faint of heart as they deal enormous damage and move quite quickly. But once they have both been defeated they reveal their former Chief’s death location. The hunt for his grave is the last piece of the puzzle for this quest. Thorgest rests across the map on a tiny island in the middle of Lough Neagh. It is just a quick swim over to the island and the former Viking’s skeleton is just off to the north and in the water. On his remains is Thorgest’s Shield a unique item in the game and a solid shield for any playthrough.

With that, players will have completed the quest, earned quite a fair bit of experience points, and taken down two of the most powerful opponents in the entirety ofWrath of the Druids. The shield as well as the two pieces of the Dublin Champion Armor Set are also added to players' inventories through this quest. After this quest line, players may be interested in increasing the city ofDublin’s Renown inWrath of the Druidsand that can be done by taking advantage of the DLC’s trading system.
