Using every available tool is important when fighting enemies or exploring the environment, and you can even tell companions to wait in place if you’re planning something like sneaking behind an enemy for a surprise attack. There are multiple ways to order your party to do so inBaldur’s Gate 3.

How to Split From the Party

Then press"ungroup"to get them away from the rest.On the PS5 and Xbox versions, you must press L2/LT to access the party. Then hit the Triangle/Y button to split the character off. This will put the character at the bottom of the party roster with their portrait separated from the others. Switch to this character, and you can freely move them separate from the party. Use this to set up ambushes during battles, disarm trap-laden areas, or sneak around while stealing valuable items.
