Summary

One of the joys ofBaldur’s Gate 3is the sheer detail included in the game, not only when it comes to the storyline but also other important aspects related to character customization. The multitude of enchanted rings that players can find and equip throughout the three acts is one example, and although there won’t be any new DLC rings, ongoing updates and patches might contain some new jewelry.

Each character can wear two rings, which means a total of eight rings can be equipped for a full party. Players don’t have to accept quantity at the expense of quality.Baldur’s Gate 3has some very powerful rings, and these are the best ones to find in the last act in preparation for the party’s final battles.

The Strange Ox in Baldur’s Gate 3

Updated Jul 14, 2025, by Kristy Ambrose:Act Three of Baldurs Gate 3 features plenty of amazing rings that players can discover as they make their final preparations to take on the Absolute. There’s a lot to see and do in the big city, so it’s important that players take the time to explore some of the location’s many layers and uncover the handy items that can be found there. The rings available during this act can prove to be especially useful, but some are arguably better than others for various reasons. For those looking to incorporate only thebest rings in Baldur’s Gate 3’s third actinto their build, this update will outline what makes them so good while explaining where they can be found.

12Shapeshifter’s Boon Ring

Drops From The Strange Ox

This ring is a sneaky entry, as it can be obtained in any ofBaldur’s Gate 3’s three acts. However, obtaining it requires players to kill its rather interesting owner, so it is recommended that gamers hold off on doing so until the final act. Originally met in the Druid Grove, it seems there is more than meets the eye when it comes tothis mysterious ox. In The Last Light Inn, it is revealed that this beast has some rather sinister thoughts for a bovine creature.

It can be encountered in Act 3 in Rivington, where it requests the player’s help to sneak it into the city proper. This is the “Help The Devilish Ox” quest, which can give players a powerful ally during the final fight. Unfortunately, those who want theShapeshifter’s Boon Ringwill instead need to kill the ox. There are some hints that the chaotic god Cyric is involved here, which might help the protagonist make their decision. Those who decide to bring an end to the ox will be rewarded with a great ring that provides a +1 bonus to all checks while the wearer is disguised or shapeshifting.

Akabi The Djinni in Baldur’s Gate 3

11Djinni Ring

Pickpocket From Akabi At The Circus Of Last Days

TheDjinni Ringmay sound a little more powerful than it actually is. Its name comes from the fact that it is owned by the djinni Akabi, who can be found at the Circus of the Last Days. It allows its wearer to cast theMage Handcantrip, a handy spell fromthe Conjuration school. Akabi uses this ring to rig the ‘spin the wheel’ challenge, but Tav can beat him at his own game if they wish.

While the ring itself may not be the most powerful of the Act 3 options, stealing it can lead to the player finding a much more powerful ring, which will be discussed further in this list. That said, Mage Hand is still a useful cantrip, so the ring is worth picking up if players are willing to tangle with a djinni. It can only be pickpocketed or looted from Akabi, but the check is fairly low.

Rivington Windmill Newborn Mindflayer In Baldur’s Gate 3

10Ring Of Truthfulness

Dropped By A Newborn Mindflayer In The Abandoned Windmill, Rivington

This can be a challenging ring to find, but it is worth picking up. It is a rare ring that drops from a newborn mind flayer who can be found within a windmill in Rivington. Since the mind flayer is newly born and starving for brains, defeating it doesn’t require much effort.

The windmill is slightly out of the way, however, and the door is locked, making it a little obscure to find for those who aren’t interested in exploring the farms of Rivington. True to its name, theRing of Truthfulnessgives its wearer Advantage on insight checks, which is useful in a roleplay sense for those hoping to find out what more secretive characters are really thinking.

Lady Jannath In Estate in Baldur’s Gate 3

9Till Death Do Us Part

Pickpocket From Lady Janneth Or Finish “Free The Artist”

Players are more likely to naturally encounter theTill Death Do Us Partring if they are trying to complete the “Free the Artist” quest, but it can be obtained by anyone with sticky fingers. This rare ring belongs to Lady Jannath, who can be found in her estate. If Oskar the artist has been rescued, players should explore this location with caution, as the house is aggressively haunted.

The ring can be pickpocketed from Lady Jannath but, sadly, can’t be bought. It is also a reward for completing the quest by saving Oskar from the ghost of his ex-lover and telling Lady Jannath the truth about him or, if he wasn’t rescued in Act One, telling Lady Jannath why he fled their wedding. The ring lets its wearer castthe Third-Level Abjuration spell,Beacon of Hope, which gives allies maximum health when healed and provides Advantage on Wisdom saving throws and death saving throws.

Possessed Oskar Fevras In Baldur’s Gate 3

8After Death Do Us Part

Pickpocket From Lady Janneth Or Dropped By Oskar

This is another ring from the questline that involves Oskar and Lady Janneth, just to give an example of how many different turns a single quest can take. As with “Till Death Do Us Part,” this ring is dropped by Lady Jannath if Oskar wasn’t saved in Act One and players tell her why he ran from their wedding.

If Oskar was rescued, theAfter Death Do Us Partring can also be obtained by letting the ghost of his ex-lover, Kerri, kill him, or it can be dropped by Oskar after saving him from Kerri and telling Lady Jannath the truth about him. This rare ring has the very powerful effect of reviving a downed character with half of their hit point maximum, with the main drawback being that they will be possessed and will attack the closest character to them, dealing some extra necrotic damage, even if that character is an ally.

Druid casting a spell in Baldur’s Gate 3

7Keepsake Ring

Found On The Elfsong Tavern Basement Floor

The sooner the party finds the Elfsong Tavern, the better, and this is not only because it gives everyone a real bed to sleep in and includes a convenient dumbwaiter that can provide daily supplies. The tavern itself is the setting for a couple of quests, both of them about hunting down the Bhaalist murderers and uncovering their plot, so the protagonist will need to stop by anyway.

There’s a lot to do in the basement alone, and one of the first tasks that the player receives will see them killing the rats downstairs. The resident cats havesome funny dialogueabout this, so it’s worth talking to them before and after getting it done. Doing so is required to pass a Perception check to find theKeepsake Ringon the floor, which is why so many players easily miss it. Without giving away too much, there are a couple of times whenDominate Beastcan come in handy in Act 3, so players should prepare to rely on the power of their animal friends.

Tara in Baldur’s Gate 3

A Reward From Tara, The Tressym On The Open Hand Temple Roof

This rare ring can be found in the paws of a loyal friend, Gale’s tressym, Tara. Players are most likely to find her and the ring by completing the “Find The Missing Letters” side quest, which is initiated by a visit to the couriers. For those who aren’t interested in gaining intel from the amusing carrier pigeons or don’t have any ability toSpeak with Animals, Tara can be found on the roof of The Open Hand Temple.

Should players talk amiably with Tara or bring her old friend, Gale, along to smooth things over, she will agree to leave the pigeons alone and will also allow players to take theRing of Blink. This ring allows its wearer to castBlink, apowerful Level 3 Transmutation spell. It allows the caster to “blink” between the material plane and the ethereal plane, where they can move but can’t interact or be interacted with until the spell wears off.

Auntie Ethel True Green Hag Form In Baldur’s Gate 3

5Ring Of Feywild Sparks

Drops From Auntie Ethel At The End Of “Avenge The Hag Survivors.”

Players are likely to get their hands on this very rare ring if they are investigating the “Find Vanra” or “Avenge the Hag” side quests, but obtaining it is going to require defeating a familiar foe. ThisRing of Feywild Sparkscan be looted from the body of Auntie Ethel after battling her in the basement of The Blushing Mermaid.

While it has a very niche effect that only applies to a certain class, it is a very fun ring for Wild Magic Sorcerers. When its wearer has their Tides of Chaos feature active, they will always trigger a wild magic surge when they cast a spell.

Hope in Baldur’s Gate 3

4Burnished Ring

Drops From One Of The Beholders In Hope’s Prison

TheBurnished Ringcan be found in one of themost challenging places in Act 3, Raphael’s House Of Hope. This very rare ring is one of the many powerful artifacts that can be obtained here, but it’s not one of the items that can be found displayed in Raphael’s collection.

The Burnished Ring is in a slightly more obscure location. One of Raphael’s many tortured souls, Hope, has her own prison and is guarded by many horrors, including a few spectators (essentially mini-beholders for those familiar with the more infamousDungeons and Dragonsmonsters). One of these spectators will drop the Burnished Ring, which allows the wearer to castParalyzing Ray. Paralysis is a powerful ability to wield against a player’s opponents, making this a ring well worth the risk it requires to be obtained.

Orpheus locked in the Astral Prism in Baldur’s Gate 3

3Orphic Ring

Drops From Prince Orpheus

The Orphic Ring is a tough ring to obtain, both morally and tangibly, as it requires players to kill its owner, Orpheus.Orpheus is the Githyanki princetrapped in the astral prism. He is also the source of the party’s protection against the Absolute. While killing him under certain circumstances at the end of Act 2 will result in a unique game over, there is another way to bring an end to this character. This can be achieved if players decide to team up with The Emperor towards the climax of Act Three.

Looting Orpheus’s body will allow players to obtain theOrphic Ring. This very rare ring allows its wearer to cast the very powerful enchantment spell,Confusion, which can be used to cause a group of creatures to wander and attack randomly, sometimes skipping turns. It’s a great ring to have access to if players are willing to sacrifice the Githyanki prince.
