Abandoned First Look Delayed to August Among Mounting Rumors
As the game comes closer to release, more and moreSilent Hillfans continue to run down the rabbit hole ofAbandoned. In development with new studio Blue Box Game Studios, a slew of hints, theories, evidence both circumstantial and potentially convincing, has persuaded multiple fans into thinking a newSilent Hillgame is coming out later this year. With the PlayStation-exclusive indie title’s official reveal set to take placeexclusively in-app on PS5,Abandoned’s first look is now delayedto August.
This comes on the back of numerous rumors intersecting betweenAbandoned, Blue Box, Hideo Kojima, and tangential rumors and evidence that allege this is a newSilent Hillgame. Blue Box Game Studios' creative director Hasan Kahraman has since come out publicly twice, done multiple interviews with media outlets, all in service to confirming there is no correlation. At the moment, according to Kahraman and on behalf of Blue Box, there isno connection between Hideo KojimaandAbandoned.

Cyberpunk 2077 Returns to PlayStation Store With PS4 Warning
As further patches and fixes are pushed out,Cyberpunk 2077inches closer to a manageable state for CD Projekt Red. Earlier this week, Sony confirmed thatCyberpunk 2077would be returning to the PlayStation storeafter its prolonged absence. It’s been over 100 days since the game was removed from purchase digitally on PS4/PS5, taken off PlayStation’s store in mid-December of last year.
CD Projekt Red recently stated thatthe current condition ofCyberpunk 2077is positive, with CDPR joint-CEO Adam Kiciński being “pleased” with the game reaching “a satisfactory level.” That being said, the PlayStation store still retains a note mentioning thatCyberpunk 2077is best played on PS4 Pro or PS5 hardware.

Marvel’s Avengers Patch Showed Players' IP Address On-Screen
Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics had a separate controversy withMarvel’s Avengersafter a recent update to the game. Earlier this week, an update toMarvel’s Avengershad a very unintended side effect ofshowing players' IP addresses in theAvengersclient, regardless of the menu or gameplay context. PS5 players in particular were affected by the bug, before Crystal Dynamics implemented a hotfix later that week which removed the line of text constantly on screen.

State of Play Rumored Soon, ‘Ghost of Ikishima’ Allegedly Leaked
After a possible leak, it seems Sucker Punch’s feudal Japan-inspired adventure could be receiving a new journey in the form of an expansion. A ResetEra leak from Shpeshal_Nick states that Sony is preparing a State of Play event coming soon, where Sucker Punch Productions will announce “Ghost of Ikishima.” Supposedly planned as a standaloneexpansion toGhost of Tsushima, there is not much else known aboutIkishima, what platforms it’s launching on, or anything else specific.
Tekken x Street Fighter Not Cancelled, Is Currently ‘Pending’
Initially, a mistranslated report this week stated that a formerTekken x Street Fighterproject from Bandai Namco had been cancelled. During an episode of the Harada’s Bar podcast,Tekkenseries director Katsuhiro Harada further clarified that the English subtitles were mistranslated:Tekken x Street Fighteris not cancelled outright, rather the project is “pending” but currently on hold. While no further clarification was given, Harada did mention continued interest in the project despite its status.
Numerous teases from several members of the games industry seems to indicate EA has something big in store forDead Spacefans. According to GamesBeat’s Jeff Grubb, EA Motive is planning anannouncement for “an established IP” at EA Play Live this July. Grubb has additionally made pretty clear allusions toDead Space, though that remains unconfirmed at this time. That being said, it’s been around eight years sinceDead Space 3released in 2013, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility.
