Summary
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s popular Ghost perk received a crucial change in the game’s newest update by extending the period that players can remain stationary before losing the perk’s benefits.Modern Warfare 3fans are likely happy to know that they can now remain hidden from enemy UAVs without having to be constantly moving.
Throughout the franchise’s history,Call of Dutyhas offered a wide range of powerful perks, but none have proved to be more enduring than Ghost. This perk allows players to remain hidden from enemy UAVs, but in an effort to discourage camping, someCall of Dutytitles have required the player to be moving for the perk to be active.Modern Warfare 3is the latestCall of Dutygame to implement this tweak. However, the problem was that this was punishing aggressive players as well, since strafing, in addition to other actions, could cause Ghost users to appear on UAVs due to a momentary loss of movement. It seems thatModern Warfare 3’s developers have solved this issue.

Following theDecember 14 update, Ghost users can now be stationary for up to two seconds before losing the perk’s UAV-blocking effects. This seems to be a good middle ground for the perk, as players will still be discouraged from camping, while also not punishing aggressive players for strafing or briefly standing still. Ghost was already a widely used perk, and now it will likely be even more popular.

Fans ofModern Warfare’s beloved 2v2 Gunfight mode were relieved to see the game mode finally return toModern Warfare 3, bringing with it an assortment of 2v2 maps from previousModern Warfares. Before the Season 1 update, all maps inModern Warfare 3were recycled maps from 2009’sModern Warfare 2, other than the War mode’s lone Operation Spearhead map.
