Following its launch back in October, fans have seemingly had a love/hate relationship withCall of Duty: Modern Warfare. While the game has no doubt seengreat success and impressive sales, it has also seen its fair share of bugs, glitches, and other community raised concerns. Infinity Ward has been busy fixing issues and adding new content, but it seems that new bugs find their way into the experience every so often like this new one which could be a major problem in multiplayer.

Over on theCall of Duty: Modern Warfaresubreddit, one user captures footage of another players strange behavior during a multiplayer match. Initially, it appears the player is simply laying in a prone position, though soon after, the character model begins moving incredibly fast while staying in the crawl animation. Worse yet, this movement also produces zero noise making it nearly impossible for opposing players to counter.

According to other commenters, this isn’t a new bug to the franchise and has been seen in priorCall of Dutygames. Most fans were shocked to see it back and as easy to activate as it was in the past. While the move requires a little timing and effort to pull off, it’s generally pretty easy to do intentionally or accidentally. After going prone, activate the double sprint ability and then go prone before standing to trigger the glitch.

Naturally, the community is concerned with how overpowered this glitch can make players, especially consideringthe audio and footstep related issuesthat have plagued the game since launch. Worse yet, this is a bug that has been around across multiple games in the franchise, so the likely hood of it being fixed seems lower than normal.

Recent updates, while fixing numerous issues and attempting to create a smooth experience before Season 1 kicks off, have actually created new unintentional bugs. A couple of newly reported problems seem to revolve around the spawn system, which was already a problem at launch. One user captured video of theirscreen completely tilted to the sideafter respawning, while a different user respawned in the air, dropping down into the map below and immediately dying due to fall damage.

Either way, it appears Infinity Ward has more work to do before the next wave of content hits when Season 1 arrives this month.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
