Leak Suggests Call of Duty: Warzone Verdansk Map May Return in 2025

Earlier rumors from late 2023 had pegged thereturn of Verdansk toCall of Duty: Black Ops 6as part of its Season 1 content drop. However, the Tweet from BobNetworkUK has Verdansk coming back significantly later, as part of the “mid-lifecycle” ofBlack Ops 6. If the rumor is true, givenBlack Ops 6’s launch date of June 26, 2025, Verdansk’s return could be set for sometime in 2025 at the earliest.

The same tweet suggests that developer Treyarch anticipates the disappointment from players at this potential news. The currentCall of Duty: Warzonemap, Urzikstan, will instead receive additional gameplay and map updates, including Ranked Play, as compensation. BobNetworkUK also mentioned in a separate post that Treyarch will debut a new map called “Area 99” for the Resurgence game modesometime duringBlack Ops 6’s term as the marqueeCall of Dutytitle.
