When Activision and Infinity Ward announced the mid-season update forCall of Duty: Warzone, they also released a slew of new images to accompany the announcement. While they all show off the new content set to come out in the update, one picture is particularly eye-catching, specifically because of what’s in the background. While the image itself features two soldiers fighting in theWarzonemap in the foreground, the background features the long-closed-up Stadium with new details, decorations, and even an open top.

The image comes the way of the Activision Games Blog, which put the picture in theSeason 4 Reloadedbreakdown post, alongside images of the new map Cheshire Park, the new sniper rifle Rytec AMR, and more.

While it’s a bit difficult to see at first glance, if players zoom in towards the right side of the screen where the building is, it’s pretty easy to see inside of the currentlyclosed offWarzoneStadiumitself now. Furthermore, it’s possible to see that the skydome is indeed open in the picture itself, meaning the stadium very well might be opening tonight when the new update goes live.

If this is true, this would give players a whole new section to explore in thebattle royale mapand would easily be the biggest content update added to the game to date. It’ll be interesting to see just how much of the stadium will be open. The Stadium in the image appears to have some glass blown out on the side, so it’s possible that players will be able to explore multiple levels of the structure when it opens up. Only time will tell if that’s possible.

Of course, all of this is pure speculation. The new open skydome might a visual bug that Infinity Ward didn’t catch before the company posted it. While that doesn’t explain the new details and banners around the Stadium itself, it’s important not to get too excited over something that hasn’t been confirmed.

That being said, the Stadium has long-acted like a giant inaccessible dome. Players can land on it, fall off of it, and walk around it, but that’s about it as of the time of this writing, at least officially speaking, of course. Some players have recently found a way toglitch inside of the Stadiumitself, but it doesn’t reveal anything and only gives players a way to cheat. Needless to say, it’s long overdue to be opened up and it would really only act as a benefit. Still, it important to remember that this is purely speculation and anything can change, even at the last minute.
