Considering thatStranger of Paradiseis a punishingly difficult action game with RPG elements, there’s obviously a lot of deep strategy for players to master if they want to survive the experience on the harder difficulty settings. From boss fights to equipment choices to Job selections, there are a lot of key decisions to make. Luckily all of that is broken down here in ourStranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Originwalkthrough.

Getting Started in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

SOPFFOis a fairly linear game, which means players don’t need to worry too much about how to get started - aside fromdeciding which Job path to go down first. Players will want to select two complimentary jobs to explore in the early game that leads to Advanced Jobs they are interested in using for the mid- and end-game. To figure out which Advanced Job a starting Job leads to, simply scroll to the bottom of each Job’s talent tree and see which Advanced Jobs are in the bottom row.

Players should definitely take some time toget comfortable with the game’s parrying, blocks, Soul Shield, and Break Gauge mechanicsbefore they try to get too far. There will be a combat tutorial in a beautiful field of wheat very early in the game that breaks down these basic concepts. To practice them further, players can always return to the mission labeled as ??? on the world map.
