Grand Theft Auto 6fans have been clamoring for news on the game, analyzing every new piece of content released for GTA Online for clues. However, fans have now discovered a potentialGrand Theft Auto 6clue hidden in Rockstar’sMax Payne 3, which launched all the way back in May of 2012.
InMax Payne 3, there is a poster listing tour dates for the band Love Fist. As it so happens, most of the dates line up with the release dates for various Rockstar Games titles, and the cities listed by the dates even match their corresponding games. For example, the poster says Love Fist is going to Liberty City on April 29, and June 07, 2025 was the release date ofGrand Theft Auto 4. It then goes on to have theRed Dead Redemptionrelease date, theGrand Theft Auto 5release date, and theRed Dead Redemption 2release date (though it should be noted that date also matches withGrand Theft Auto: San Andreas).

The final date listed on the poster is October 29, with Love Fist said to be visiting Vice City. Fans have taken this to mean thatGrand Theft Auto 6’s release date will be October 29, either in 2020 or 2021, and that the game will beset in Vice Cityas has been previously rumored.
While some fans are no doubt excited about this, it should be noted that this is quite likely just a coincidence. The chances that Rockstar Games had theGrand Theft Auto 6release date planned all the way back in 2012 are slim to none, and this is most likely just a coincidence. After all, the first date doesn’t appear to coincide with anything, andGrand Theft Auto 4launched beforeMax Payne 3, as didRed Dead Redemption. TheRed Dead Redemption 2release dateis the same as theSan Andreasrelease date, so it’s possible that the only date accurately predicted here is theGTA 5one.
Regardless of how unlikely this is to actually reveal theGTA 6release date, it’s not surprising that some fans have gotten excited about it. Rumors have been swirling that aGrand Theft Auto 6announcement is imminent, especially since Rockstar recently updatedGTA 6-related websites, but nothing official has been confirmed to date.
