As players work throughDead Cells’Return to CastlevaniaDLC, they may encounter a locked door that can only be opened by the Ribonned Key. Alternatively, some fans may find this key, but be unclear about where they are meant to use it. This guide is here to assist players in both situations, and full details onDead Cells' Ribonned Key can be found in what follows.
In order to obtain the Ribonned Key, players must locateByakko, awhite catthat runs around within theCastle’s Outskirts. Unfortunately, it is not possible to detail a precise position for this cat, as it has a chance to appear throughout this first level inDead Cells’CastlevaniaDLC. Its color and motion do make the creature quite noticeable, though, and players should be on the lookout for it near the drawbridge, elevator, and underground rooms.

Once the white cat has been spotted,Dead Cellsplayersshould put their efforts towardcatchingit. This is done simply by holding down the interact button when in contact with the feline, and an onscreen prompt will appear when the option is available. If a player is successful in catching the white cat, the Ribonned Key will spring forth from the creature, and it can be collected with the interact button.
After obtaining the Ribonned Key, players should set their sights on the area near the end of theCastle’s Outskirts. For full clarity, this is the section that is just beyond the level’s tall tower, which fans will navigate with the help of a large elevator, and there are severalunderground roomswithin it. A door is situated in one of those underground rooms, and indeed it can be opened with the help of the Ribonned Key.
As soon as players pass through the Ribonned Key door, they will have the opportunity to interact withCastlevania’s Maria Renard. Fans will receive theMaria Renard Outfit Blueprintwhen this interaction comes to a close, and they can start putting their Cells toward unlocking the cosmetic the next time that they speak with the Collector.
Players may also want to take a moment topet the catbefore leaving Maria’s cell. For full clarity, Byakko is sleeping just to the left of the table that is inside the cell, and interacting with it will transform the creature into a secondary skill that can be used to “unleash a flurry of slashes” uponenemies inDead Cells.
