Summary
Bungie releases Update 7.3.6.6 forDestiny 2and even though it’s a relatively smaller patch, it addresses one of the bigger issues currently impacting players. Bugs are a constant issue for many live service games, which are constantly seeing patches and new content getting added on a frequent basis. ForDestiny 2, fans have been enjoying new content on a nearly weekly basis thanks to the Into The Light update.
Just last week, Bungie brought back theZero Hour exotic mission, which lets players obtain a craftable version of the Outbreak Perfected pulse rifle. As with other exotic missions, there are those who attempt to solo them, which typically leads to unique triumphs associated with clearing missions without a fire team, finishing them without dying, and then the ultimate triumph of never dying as a solo player. However, those who completed the challenge discovered a frustrating and demoralizing bug that prevented one of the highly sought after triumphs from unlocking.

Destiny 2players attempting to flawlessly solo Zero Hourinstead discovered a bug that blocked the associated triumph from unlocking. While the individual solo and flawless triumphs were still granted, the sought after “Zero Deaths” achievement stayed locked. Thankfully, Bungie found the issue and corrected the problem in the most recentpatch notes.
While the Zero Hour triumph bug may be the biggest piece of news from this update, the patch does make a few additional tweaks, including fixing a glitch that allowed players to go into unintended locations within the three new Crucible maps. Also, heavy ammo should no longer spawn inside a wall on the Dissonance map. TheDestiny 2Brave titleis also now easier to obtain, as this patch lowered the requirements to unlock it by one, meaning players can opt to skip 1 of the triumphs rather than needing to unlock all of them.
This weekend also saw the rise of a new bug that caused a lot of frustration within the community. Players began sending friend requests to streamers, which caused new error messages to appear while also kicking them out of the match, in this case Trials of Osiris. Soon enough, the issue escalated as more and more players began seeing these errors.Bungie acknowledged the latestDestiny 2bugand confirmed it was working on a fix, though no timetable was given. In the meantime, Bungie recommended that players turn off Friend and Clan requests, while also setting Fireteam invites to Friends Only for now.
