ForsakenandShadowkeepare currently still sold separately on each platform, but players can carry their progress made in these DLCs from one platform to the other. For instance, if a player hasearned a gun fromShadowkeepon PC, they can still use it on PS4 even though they may not own the expansion on that platform.

The studio stated that it is now “all in” onDestiny 2and it isn’t shying away from making system wide changes to how the game operates. The launch of the new generation of consoles will mark the release of many of these features and monetization changes. Firstly,Destiny 2will suport4K resolution at 60 fps on the new hardware. Also, any content the players own now or will in the future will be brought forward with them when they upgrade to the next generation.

PS4 players won’t have to buy anything to continue their journey on PS5 and same goes for Xbox players who will upgrade to the next gen. This fall,Destiny 2will also support inter-generational cross-play within a family of consoles. This means PS4 players will have no problem playing with PS5 players and Xbox One players can connect freely with their Xbox Series X friends.
