With the release of Season 3 ofDiablo 4,the Helltides events, beloved by late-game players, no longer have cooldowns of an entire hour but are limited to just 5 minutes. It is very helpful since the new season also addedDiablo 4Seasonal Journey tasks, one of which requires defeating 6 Helltide Commanders.
Due to the variety of Helltide event options, finding a specific mini-boss can be quite a challenge. After all, this boss does not appear in every Helltide, and the player may not be strong enough to test every version of the event. Fortunately, several Helltide events guarantee a meeting with the Helltide Commander.
Where To Find a Helltide Commander in Diablo 4
Before you’re able to find and defeat Helltide Commander inDiablo 4, you must head to one of the Helltide event zones on the map. Pay attention that you should be at least in World Tier 3. As we said earlier, the cooldown between events is only 5 minutes, during which the event is transferred to a new zone, so you can find them at almost any time. Helltide events are covered in red on the map, of which only a few will give you a chance to fight against Helltide Commander.
Ideally, you should have a team of at least two players, as completing some tasks will require considerable effort. However, if you’ve long crossed the threshold ofthe higher World Tiers, you can look for the next Helltide on your own.
Storm Summoner
During this Helltide event, players must destroy five different effigies in the event area. Of course, as always, you will be disturbed bydozens of enemieswhose level is three higher than yours, so it will not be so easy. However, as soon as you fulfill this requirement, a Helltide Commander will appear in the central part of the event, and you can defeat it.
It is worth noting that in earlier seasons, this mini-boss could also appear during the fanatics' ritual as a random demon. However, we have not yet been able to confirm this mechanic in Season 3.
Portal Invasion
During this event, you must destroy seven portals before time runs out. Strengthened enemies constantly appear from these portals, so you will have a hard time. But as in the previous case, destroying all portals ensures the arrival of the Helltide Commander.
Kixxarth, Helltide Assassin
Finally, a powerful enemy, Kixxarth, can randomly spawn during some other Helltide events. Although its name is slightly different, it is also a Helltide Commander, as its death counts towards the Seasonal Journey tasks counter.
Despite being a mini-boss, Helltide Commanders' strength is not too superior to other enemies in this event. Simply put, we recommend staying behind the boss so that killing it shouldn’t be much of a problem. However, this is only relevant if you have killed all other enemies. Otherwise, the strength of this hellish team allows them to kill you.
So, if you are not ready for the Helltide challenges,gathering groups of playersmay be a good solution. Firstly, you can guarantee a victory over the boss, and secondly, jointly searching for suitable event options will save you a lot of time.
