In the months since the official release ofElden Ring, the game has cultivated a massive following online. With so many players posting a wide variety of fan-made content, all of which are influenced from various facets ofElden Ring, it’s fascinating how much attention the game has received within such a short timeframe. Though, this most recent piece ofElden Ringfan content is comparatively more striking.
One of the many reasons why numerous players have gravitated toElden Ringis the multitude of characters that populate the world of the game. Over on Reddit, a user named OmarvinG94 posted a wonderfully detailed drawing of several combinedElden Ringillustrations with Ranni the Witch taking center stage. The use of monochromatic color design, as well as the different shading techniques add so much detail to this drawing. The art style almost looks reminiscent of Kentaro Miura, who was responsible for writing and drawing theBerserkmanga series, which serves as one of the primary influences for not justElden Ring, but nearly all FromSoftware games.
In addition to Ranni the Witch, many otherElden Ringcharacters are included within the drawing, such asBlaidd the Half-Wolf, War Counselor Iji, and Renalla, Queen of the Full Moon. All of which are presented prominently above Ranni and are thematically appropriate to include, given Ranni’s separate relationships with all three of these characters.
According to the user, this art piece took almost sixty hours to complete, and it’s easy to understand why, given how detailed it looks. It’s interesting how fans have managed to connect the dots ofElden Ring’slore via fan art, especially considering all the implied, complex relationships these characters have with each other, despite never interacting in-game. One fan even managed to bring the demigod siblingsRykard, Ranni, and Radahn together again throughElden Ringfan art.
In any case, it will be interesting to see what other contentElden Ringfans manage to create. Given how rich and detailed the world and lore ofElden Ringis, there’s plenty forElden Ringfans to pull from on a creative level. It even has resulted in interesting crossover art, such as onefan combiningElden RingwithAnimal Crossing.
