Right toward the end of the description, there is also a dialogue, which states “To you who seek to shine as I do, wear it well.” While that might look like a pretty innocuous piece of text, the strange thing is its origin. Those who have interacted withGoldmask inElden Ringmight be well aware of the fact that the only thing the NPC says in the game is “…”, which is literally nothing.
Elden Ring Are Fans Debating Goldmask’s Mystery
Fans are speculating about how the dialogue made its way into the description, and there are a few interesting theories circulating that have been summarized pretty well by user Mobius_148. The first one suggests that it could just be inscribed on theRadiant Gold Mask, although some have refuted that by saying it cannot be seen anywhere on its model. Another one is that Goldmask might not have been this way always, and only during the events of the game he started using hand signs to communicate.
The last one is that Goldmask probably used hand signs to communicate with his followers, and this dialogue probably came via an interpretation of his signs. Out of the three options, fans are most convinced that the first one is accurate, considering that it aligns quite well with his lore. However, fans aren’t totally ruling out the possibility that it could just be an interpretation of his sign language. With FromSoftware already suggesting that there is anElden Ringsecret fans haven’t found yet, it will be interesting to see whether players will be able to unravel the mystery of the Radiant Gold Mask when the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC releases next month.
