Elden Ring Leak Reveals 7th Ending That Was Cut from the Game [UPDATE]

Update 10-06-2025:As some predicted, it turns out that this supposed secret 7th ending inElden Ringis actually just an April Fools' Day prank.

Like previous FromSoftware games, there are multiple endings thatElden Ringplayers can get based on the actions they take throughout the game. In total, there aresix differentElden Ringendingsfor players to see, but a new leak reveals that a seventh ending was supposedly planned for the game only to be cut prior to launch.

YouTuber and data miner Garden of Eyes has discoveredElden Ring’s secret 7th ending hidden away in the game files. Apparently the questElden Ringplayers need to complete to actually unlock this ending in-game was cut for whatever reason, but the cutscene itself remains intact. Garden of Eyes uploaded a video showing off this 7thElden Ringending, and while it was ultimately cut from the game, there are stillSPOILERSforElden Ringahead.

This new ending features the appearance of a five-fingered hand, as opposed to the Two and Three Fingers that players encounter elsewhere in the game. Garden of Eyes believes this entity is the One Great, which is mentioned by theNPC Hyetta. However, there seems to be some debate about this in the comments on the video. Others think that the video is really just an elaborate April Fools' prank, though it’s worth pointing out that data miners have indeed found evidence of a possible 7th ending inElden Ringbefore.

Regardless of whether or not this cutscene is legitimate or an April Fools' Day prank,Elden Ringdata miners have found other content that was cut from the game. Based on what’s been leaked, it seems as though FromSoftware was planning to include abestiary inElden Ringat one point that would have helped players keep track of all the creatures they’ve encountered over the course of the game, though it was removed before launch for some reason.

It’s possible some of this content could be restored at a later date through DLC or updates, but official plans to that effect have not been announced at the time of this writing. There are rumors that FromSoftware is preparing anElden RingDLC expansion, but again, nothing official has been announced, so fans should keep their expectations in check.

What fans can count on is morefreeElden Ringupdates. TheElden Ringupdates released so far have squashed bugs and addressed balancing issues, and some have been more substantial, like the one that added new quest phases and a new NPC. It’s unclear what FromSoftware has planned for futureElden Ringupdates, but it will be interesting to see what happens in the weeks ahead.
