Armor sets inThe Elder Scrolls Onlineconfer bonuses to their wearer based on the number of pieces to the set currently equipped, with the exception of Mythic items which do not require other gear to be worn. Some of the new item sets, like the Spaulder of Ruin, have incredibly unique effects not yet seen that make them well worth tracking down – even if you don’t plan on using them.

Deadlands Mythic Sets

Mythic item sets inThe Elder Scrolls Onlineare usually acquired through the Antiquities system. Introduced in theGreymoorexpansion, the Antiquities system allows players to use the Scrying skill line on Leads found throughout an area to hunt down and find local relics which can reward anything from furnishings to fragments of Mythic items.

In theDeadlandsDLC, three mythic items are introduced: the Markyn Ring of Majesty, Belharza’s Band, and the Spaulder of Ruin. Keep in mind that players can only equip one Mythic item, so it’s impossible to stack Mythic effects on a build. Each of these sets requires the player to complete five unique Master-level Leads found throughout the Deadlands.

Markyn Ring of Majesty

TheMarkyn Ring of Majestyis a Mythic ring that is best used on a character who has few full set bonuses active, as it rewards players who have multiple three-piece armor sets equipped. 100 Weapon and Spell Damage might not seem like a lot, but the effect stacks for each set with at least three pieces.

The Markyn Ring of Majesty has five Master-level Leads that must be completed before being available, each of which can be found throughout the Deadlands. The five leads, specifically, are the Mindcleaver Loop, the Ruinblood Coil, the Firescourge Band, the Searing Gem, and the Morpholith Shank. Be sure to pick up the Antiquarian Insight Rank IV passive to be able to Scry these Leads.

Belharza’s Band

Belharza’s Band is an interesting Mythic Ringthat seems to force players to rely less on their ability and attack rotation and instead focus entirely on getting Light Attacks in.

Belharza’s Band has five Master-level Leads that must be completed before being available, three of which can be found in the Deadlands and two of which are found in the Gold Coast. The Deadlands Leads are the Bull’s head Gallery Rail, the Crimson Diamond, and the Etched Silver Horns. The Gold Coast leads are the Stainless Imperial Band and the Alessian Sacramental Oil. Be sure to pick up the Antiquarian Insight Rank IV passive to be able to Scry these Leads.

Spaulder of Ruin

The Spaulder of Ruinis a unique Mythic that can be used to vastly increase the party’s DPS output during damage phases of boss fights, though it slows down its wielder significantly as they must crouch to create the Aura of Pride.

The Spaulder of Ruin has five Master-level Leads that must be completed before being available, three of which can be found in the Deadlands. These three Leads are the Void Alloy Rivets, the Petrified Daedroth Horn, and the Clannfear Leather Strapping. The Aureal Armor Glaze is found in the Shivering Shrine, and the Void Alloy Lame Plates are found in Leyawiin safeboxes. Be sure to pick up the Antiquarian Insight Rank IV passive to be able to Scry these Leads.

Deadlands Crafted Sets

Crafted sets inThe Elder Scrolls Onlineare sets that anyone can create at specified crafting locations throughout Tamriel and beyond. Each of these sets is found in the Deadlands or in Fargrave, though players need to have a certain number of traits researched on the piece they want to create in order to use the crafting stations in the first place.

The three Crafted sets in theDeadlandsDLC are the Wretched Vitality set, the Deadlands Demolisher set, and the Iron Flask set. Of the three, the Wretched Vitalitys set has the fewest pre-requisite traits needed, while the Deadlands Demolisher set has the most.

Wretched Vitality

TheWretched Vitality setis an interesting all-arounder that hits marks for almost every class and build in the game. Its boosts to resource recovery and both Weapon and Spell Damage don’t target any particular playstyle, and its full set bonus can be maintained almost constantly throughout a fight – as long as you have a buffing or debuffing ability in your ability bar.

The Wretched Vitality set can be crafted at the Stormwright’s Cleft in the Eastern Deadlands. It requires the player to have researched three traits on the gear they want to craft.

Deadlands Demolisher

TheDeadlands Demolisher setis likely the most powerful crafted armor set in theDeadlandsDLC, specifically for Stamina-based Tanks and Solo players. Its enhancements to Bashing make it an incredibly useful full set bonus for group content, and it’s great for taking on multiple targets who use spells, too.

The Deadlands Demolisher set can be crafted at the The Razorworks in the Southern Deadlands, practically right next to a Wayshrine. It requires the player to have researched seven traits on the gear they want to craft.

Iron Flask

TheIron Flask setis a great set for heavy bruisers who don’t mind getting hit a few times in the fray of combat. While it adds Max Health and Armor at lower equip levels, its full set bonus is a simple but effective means of reducing damage taken across the board. Its simplicity is its strength, as it is useful for a variety of builds and rotations, although the 12% reduction lasts about half the amount of time it takes to prepare another potion.

The Iron Flask set can be crafted at the Forgotten Feretory just below a Wayshrine in The Shambles, the hostile area in North Fargrave. It requires the player to have researched five traits on the gear they want to craft.

Deadlands Overworld Sets

Overworld sets are unique in that they can be found by anyone at any level of play as long as they complete specific content within an area. In the Deadlands, Overworld sets drop from a variety of PvE sources like Delves, World Bosses, Wandering Executioners, and even the Public Dungeon Atoll of Immolation.

The three sets in theDeadlandsDLC that can be found in the Overworld are the Eye of the Grasp set, the Hexos' Ward set, and the Kynmarcher’s Cruelty set. Each set is lightly oriented towards different playstyles, and each consists of a different armor type alongside Jewelry and Weapons.

Eye of the Grasp

TheEye of the Grasp setis a DPS Magicka-oriented armor set that increases a Mage’s stats pretty evenly across the board. Its full set bonus vastly increases the amount of Ultimate the player can generate, especially when the set is paired with others that increase Critical Chance.

The Eye of the Grasp set, like each of the Overworld sets, can be found in Delves, World Bosses, Wandering Executioners, Questlines, and elsewhere throughout the Deadlands.

Hexos' Ward

TheHexos' Ward setis likely to be a powerful armor set inThe Elder Scrolls Onlinefor Solo players, thanks to its increases to Weapon and Spell damage and boost to Critical Chance. The boost to Critical Chance increases the likelihood of the full set bonus proccing, too, and like the Eye of the Grasp set fits well with other gear that improves Critical Chance.

The Hexos' Ward set, like each of the Overworld sets, can be found in Delves, World Bosses, Wandering Executioners, Questlines, and elsewhere throughout the Deadlands.

Kynmarcher’s Cruelty

TheKynmarcher’s Cruelty armor setis a powerful heavy armor set that is geared for taking on multiple enemies in a Stamina build. Its full set bonus is essentially a Wabbajack effect, and each of the Major debuffs that can be applied are powerful tide-turning effects, though its effect is unreliable.

The Kynmarcher’s Cruelty set, like each of the Overworld sets, can be found in Delves, World Bosses, Wandering Executioners, Questlines, and elsewhere throughout the Deadlands.
