Ranking All Classes in Unicorn Overlord
It all comes down tohow you set up your unitsin the game when it comes to effectively defeating the enemy. However, there are some classes and characters that are far and above the rest in terms of utility and power. As such, consider having them as part of your fulcrum of the army since there are limited spots.
S-Tier Classes in Unicorn Overlord
When it comes to beating the enemy, getting your hits in early on is vital to stack the odds in your favor. The Lord/High Lord bringsInitiative bonusesto the table, hits hard against infantry, and iscapable of healing. The same goes for the Paladin, while thedefensive workcan be left to both the Dreadnought and the Hoplite/Legionnaire while ensuring good damage. The Crusader/Valkryia is also a great frontline troop, soaking up damage and overpowering enemiesby ignoring their defenses completely with a flurry of attacks.
The Dark Marquess deliverspowerful debuffsto the enemy as well anddamages rows of enemiesfor good measure, and if anyone gets hurt, the Cleric/Bishop canhandle the healing. The other option of the Priestess/High Priestess will also be able todeal out magic attacks. For those peskyflying enemies, look no further than the Hunter/Sniper to bring the pain, and once upgraded, they cantake out several enemiesat once, too. The Elven Fencer brings magical pain in addition to their prowess with swords, making them another good addition to have todeal with all sorts of foes weak to magic.

A-Tier Classes in Unicorn Overlord
This group brings plenty of utility to the battle, starting with the Arbalist/Shieldshooter. Proficient atattacking and providing support from the back row, their use of poison and healing capabilities are excellent in attritional fights. The Thief/Rogue is the same, able toevade attacks with ease while blinding rows of enemiesto make the fight go smoother for the other heavy hitters. When it comes tofinishing weakened enemies in bunches, there are no better options than the Housecarl/Viking, while the Swordfighter/Swordmaster are thebest options against those with high Evasion, but both classes suffer from relatively lower defense and HP.
Both theElven Archer and Snow Rangerwork great against flying foes, with the former able toremove enemy rebuffsand the latter acounter to armored targets. For the knights, they areadept at protecting others while targeting the magic userswith vengeance, and the less HP a Dark Knight/Doom Knight has, theharder they hit. As for the Gryphon Knight/Gryphon Master, they areinvaluable against cavalry and lower enemy Initiativebut are unfortunately weak against ranged characters. The Werelion is a force to be reckoned with, withhigh HP and powerful single strikes, but the relativeaccuracycan sometimes be the difference between winning and losing.

B-Tier Classes in Unicorn Overlord
Now, it comes down more to strategy and how players want toset up the formationswhen it comes to the support for the rest of the army. Sellsword/Landsknecht aregreat damage dealers, but should theirattacks be blocked, they can often become less useful in a fight. The same applies to the Gladiators/Berserkers, whopack more defensein comparison but aremore reliant on having enough PPfor their actions. Warriors/Breakers can do really well against enemy armor, but against other foes their capabilities make it hard to land the killing blow.
For the magic users, they all bring various uses to the field, boastingboth good magical attacks and buffsfor the rest of the team. The glaring weakness ishow squishy they can be, and oftentimes, it doesn’t make it worthwhile to provide that added protection when the enemy can be taken care of first. The Prince class also falls into this category, which is a waste.

C-Tier Classes in Unicorn Overlord
While these classes are still going to have their day in the sun, they can be overlooked when compared to the rest of the classes available in the game. The Fighter/Vanguard aregood defensive optionsbutlack the offensive capabilitiesof other, more specialized classes, while the Soldier/Sergeant’spiercing attacks can hit entire columnsbut arenot able to withstand sustained attacks.
As for the Werewolf, Werefox, Werebear, and Wereowl, theybecome even better under the cover of night, which has its uses. The opposite applies to the Feathersword, Featherbow, Featherstaff, and Feathershield classes, whoget better in the day. While they fulfill certain requirements to counter specific enemies, their bonuses are not usually that significant to warrant their inclusion.
