It seems like not a month can go by without a major content creator getting banned byTwitch.Even the most popular streamers are sometimes caught in the streaming platform’s administrative net, as bans directed at streaming titans such as Dr. Disrespect indicate. Some of the biggestTwitchstreamers even get banned time and time again, but regardless of the reasons for their bans, they bounce back with the help of their fans. Ex-Overwatchpro xQc is a good example, as is the cosplay and ASMR streamer Amouranth. By now, they’re very much used to working around and waiting out bans, keeping in touch with their fans in other ways until they can return to Twitch.
Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa is a particularly interesting example because she’s experienced a pretty diverse list of bans, from actions pushing against Twitch’s rules to completely accidental violations, resulting in five total bans. Considering such a streak, it’s not hard to imagine thatAmouranth and Twitch will butt headsagain in the future. Although Twitch doesn’t explain every ban it hands out thoroughly, this is a long enough list of bans that the streamer can examine where she and Twitch come into conflict most often. That could be valuable information as her Twitch presence continues to grow.

A History of Amouranth’s Twitch Bans
Amouranth’s first ban happened in September 2019 due to a wardrobe malfunction. While sitting on the floor and playing with her dog during a stream,Amouranth accidentally exposed herselfto her viewers multiple times, leading Twitch to ban her. Ironically, the ban earned her hundreds of thousands of new followers, meaning she returned to Twitch stronger than ever. In contrast, Amouranth lost many thousands of followers after her second ban in March 2020. Twitch only explained this second ban by citing “inappropriate behavior,” leading some to speculate that Twitch banned Amouranth for a recent gym stream, either because her gym clothes were too suggestive or because she may have filmed other people without consent.
Amouranth’s third ban came only two months after the second. This ban stands out from the rest of Amouranth’s bans because she was arguably tricked into it. Amouranth noticed a user in her chat with an NSFW profile picture and mistakenly showed the image to her chat briefly. Twitch swiftly picked up on the image and banned Amouranth for a few days. Twitch banned her for a fourth time only a month later in June 2021. This ban stemmed from a new type of ASMR stream whereAmouranth would lick her microphonesuggestively, but many smaller streamers still take part in this kind of content.

The controversial streamer was able to stay out of the hot seat for a few months. But in October 2021, Amouranth came in conflict with Twitch once again. Amouranth claims she doesn’t know whyTwitch banned her for a fifth time, but she seemed in good spirits about it, making sarcastic jokes about how a three-day ban will impact her income as one of Twitch’s most lucrative streamers. Although the new ban broke her streak of sixteen months without bans, it’s not slowing her down. She’s back on Twitch with as many viewers as ever.
Amouranth’s Future on Twitch
All of Amouranth’s bans to date have been pretty brief. She always returns to Twitch in full force, picking up right where she left off. As long as Amouranth never commits any violations bigger than these fairly minor ones, she certainly has a very comfortable position on Twitch that she can enjoy for years to come. In fact, Amouranth may be the only one who could end her Twitch career in the near future;Amouranth has talked about quitting streamingbefore. For now, though, Amouranth looks like she’ll be making the most of her majorTwitchfollowing, regardless of any ban she gets.
