Yoshida stated that PC players will have a 55 GB download for Patch 7.0 alone, and over 90GB of storage space for the base game and all five expansions. For PS4 and PS5 players, only 75GB to 80GB of storage space will be required due to the data compression technologies used on those systems. However, Yoshida clarified that Xbox Series X/S players need at least 100GB of space once Patch 7.0 is out.

However, PC players will wait a little longer for their update window. Square Enix clarified that Windows, Mac, and Steam users can begin downloadingDawntrailon Thursday, June 27, around 11:00 AM Eastern.
Final Fantasy 14 Patch 7.0 Release Timing
Square Enix added that the exact timing of the patch’s release on each system may happen a few hours ahead or behind the listed times, depending on each network’s respective status. However, the company stated that a notice would be posted on the Lodestone once all platforms have the 7.0 update data ready.Final Fantasy 14also confirmed that the game will begin its 48-hour maintenance on Wednesday, June 26, at 5:00 AM Eastern, and conclude no sooner than Friday, June 28 at the same time.
