Recently, one talented player decided to build a version of a weapon from the classic game in real life.

In a post on Reddit, a user known as Shred-the-Gnarnar shared a picture of a sword they recently finished based onFinal Fantasy 7. Specifically, they had recreated theEnhance Sword used by Cloudin the RPG. In the picture, the sword hung from a wall next to a set of other weapons. This real-life version of the Enhance Sword shared many of the same features as its in-game counterpart. For example, it contained the same golden finish and had an emerald-colored dot placed near the hilt of the blade.

In addition to showcasing the Enhance Sword fromFinal Fantasy 7in a picture, Shred-the-Gnarnar made a YouTube video detailing the creation of the weapon. In the tutorial, the creator showed the numerous steps involved in making the finished product. For example, it was revealed that the sword was sculpted from foam, while what looked to be a PVC pipe was used for the hilt. These elements were then painted to match the color scheme of the weapon seen in the RPG.

Since posting this picture of the Enhance Sword on Reddit, numerous members of theFinal Fantasycommunity have taken notice. Many were impressed with not only this most recent build but also theentire collection ofFinal Fantasy 7swordsthe Reddit user had created. In addition, fans noted that they were excited to see Shred-the-Gnarnar finish off the collection of swords seen in the game. “Really looking forwards to seeing Apocalypse and Organics,” XachMustel2 said. According to the creator, they had completed 11 designs and had 5 more left to go.

It is doubtlessly exciting for many nostalgic fans to see this Enhance Sword crafted in real life. However, Shred-the-Gnarnar is not the only one with a blade fromFinal Fantasy 7. For example, former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall previously revealed he had a full-size replica of theBuster Sword used by Cloudin the game. As players continue to show off their love for theFinal Fantasyseries through making impressive pieces of artwork, it will be interesting to see what creations are shared with the community next.
