Forspoken,like most open-world games, features several mechanics that will help Frey better understand the world around her. When first entering the vast realm of Athia, Frey will be unable to see most of its rocky crags and rolling hills on the map. WhileForspokendoes have some unique mechanics that shine, when it comes to navigation, it plays it by the book.
Forspokenuses two systems to reveal the open world to Frey: the Belfry and the Pilgrim’s Refuge. As is common with this type of mechanic, interacting with a Belfry or Refuge will unlock a fast-travel point and reveal more of the map. Belfries allow players to view the world from the top of the tower, revealing nearby points of interest in person and on the map. Refuges act as a temporary hub for Frey, providing a crafting table and library to switch out Spellcraft Challenges.Forspokenfeatures dozens of these locationsspread all around Athia, creating an extensive network for Frey to utilize throughout her journey.
Area: The Sacred Peaks - 1 Refuge, 1 Belfry
All Belfry and Pilgrim’s Refuge Locations in the Praenost Region
Frey will begin her journey throughForspokenin the Praenost region, setting out into the region totake down its ruler, Tanta Sila. It contains 13 Pilgrim’s Refuges and 15 Belfries.
Area: Opal Hills - 1 Refuge, 1 Belfry
All Belfry and Pilgrim’s Refuge Locations in the Avoalet Region
The Avoalet region is found right inthe center ofForspoken’s open-world. Here, Frey will take the battle to Tanta Prav. There are 12 Pilgrim’s Refuges and 13 Belfries.

All Belfry and Pilgrim’s Refuge Locations in the Visoria Region
Visoria is the realm of Tanta Olas, who has command of the electricity-imbued green magic. It is the third region Frey will visit on her journey throughForspoken’s main story. It contains 11 Pilgrim’s Refuges and 12 Belfries.

All Belfry and Pilgrim’s Refuge Locations in the Junoon Region
Junoon, and its ruler Tanta Cinta, are shrouded in mystery throughout most of the game.It is here that many of theForspoken’s biggest questions will be answered. It contains 7 Pilgrim’s Refuges and 6 Belfries.
