AFall Guysplayer made an incredible birthday cake based on one of the game’s many challenges. The baker then posted their tasty creation on social media, where reception to the dessert was mostly positive, with a sprinkling of envy fitting forFall Guys.
Developed by Mediatonic,Fall Guyswas released on July 29, 2025, on PC and PS4. Taking inspiration from game shows such asNinja WarriorandWipeout,Fall Guysis a physics-based, multiplayer online battle royale with a rotation of courses and challenges for players to conquer. In the first two years of service,Fall Guyspreviously required a one-time purchase to play the game on either platform. Earlier this year, on June 21, the gametransitioned to a free-to-play modeland was released on Xbox, PS5, and Switch that same day. Crossplay and cross-progression save files were not originally featured inFall Guysbut became part of the game during the change to free-to-play.

A Redditor by the username Street_Surround_4364 created a cake covered in mushroom fondant and posted their creation on theFall Guyssubreddit. The post received over 880 likes in just over a day, and the comments have ranged from creativity to debates about fondant. As for the cake itself, it was created for the seventh birthday of a child named Eric. The cake features fourFall Guyscharacters onthe Perfect Match stage, which is one of the game’s logic challenges. In Perfect Match, players must look at the fruit on the front side screen and jump to the matching tile to avoid falling off. The challenge has gone through some changes to mix up the difficulty since it launched with theFall Guysbeta, with each iteration adding different obstacles for players to overcome.
Despite some growing pains, the game remains as popular as ever. The game’s popularity and current business model are owed in part to crossover content from other games, such asSonic the Hedgehog. These crossovers are featured in the form of cosmetic skins that players can either purchase with the battle pass or earn via normal play. Most recently,a crossover with the iconic TV seriesDoctor Whowas brought into the game, with plenty of skins for players to collect.
Fall Guysis currently in its second seasonof free-to-play content, though it is not currently clear when the current season will conclude. However, with millions of players falling around and enjoying the game on their platforms,Fall Guyshas benefited from the change to free-to-play. Only time will tell how the game will fare in 2023 and beyond.
