It’s almost Christmas, and unfortunately, it’s highly likely that there are many people who have still been unable to get their hands on a PlayStation 5 orXbox Series X console. Getting a PS5 or Xbox Series X remains incredibly difficult for a variety of reasons, though retailerGameStophas made it somewhat easier through its PowerUp Rewards program by giving its members first dibs on new consoles. Now GameStop has announced a special in-store restock event for both the PS5 and Xbox Series X that will be exclusive to PowerUp Rewards Pro members.
The GameStop PS5 and Xbox Series X in-store restock event will take place on Thursday, December 23 at participating locations. Being aPowerUp Rewards Pro member at GameStopdoes not guarantee that one will be able to go to the in-store restock event on December 23 and walk out with a PS5 or Xbox Series X console, but it will certainly improve their chances. The membership costs $14.99 per year and comes with other benefits that may benefit regular GameStop shoppers.

It seems as thoughGameStopwill be selling PS5 and Xbox Series X bundles as opposed to individual consoles, so customers should keep that in mind. And as previously stated, only certain GameStop locations will be participating in the in-store restock event. Exact pricing information is not available at the time of this writing.
GameStop PS5 In-Store Restock
The GameStop PS5 bundle includes a PlayStation 5 console, an extraDualSense controller, a $50 GameStop gift card, and a PowerA DualSense Charging Dock. As for games, the bundle comes withGhost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut,Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, andSpider-Man: Miles Morales, so it includes some of the most popular PS5 titles released to date. Unfortunately, anyone uninterested in some of the items are out of luck as they will have to purchase the bundle with everything included at the in-store restock event.
GameStop Xbox Series X In-Store Restock
The GameStop Xbox Series X bundle comes with less items than the PS5 bundle, but those interested get an Xbox Series X console, a three month subscription toXbox Game Pass Ultimate, and a $100 GameStop gift card. Whereas the PS5 bundle comes with three games, the Xbox Series X bundle comes with two, with those that purchase it getting copies ofCall of Duty: VanguardandFar Cry 6.
This will likely be one of the last majorPS5 and Xbox Series X restock eventsbefore Christmas officially arrives, so anyone that needs to get one of the consoles for a last minute gift can give it a shot as long as they are PowerUp Rewards Pro members and their local GameStop is one of the participating locations.
