The Coalition has given fans a new tease on twitter of theaddition of Dave BautistainGears 5with a behind-the-scenes video and interview with the actor/wrestler.
The inclusion of Bautista in some way is one fans have been clamoring for since the release of the originalGears of Waron the Xbox 360 in 2006, thanks to the actor’s resemblance of the game’s main character, Marcus Fenix.

While fans have echoed the sentiment for aGears of Warmovie starring the actor over the years, his inclusion inGears 5seems to be the next best thing. Dave Bautista’s likeness replaces Marcus Fenix, with the MCU star also doing voice work. It’s worth noting the addition of Bautista is not required as fans have to option to revert back to the original voice work of John DiMaggio if they so desire.
The inclusion of Bautista is not the only way the actor has had an influence on the game, withThe Coalition adding the Batista Bomb toGears 5multiplayer as an execution move. The small addition is one of the many content updates The Coalition has added toGears 5, which has included multiplayer skins of classicGearscharacters like Cole, Carmine, and Queen Myrrah.
In November,Gears 5will be receiving some massive updates tied to the launch of the Xbox Series Xwith an improved frame-rate, a New Game Plus mode, and extra difficulties. Players will also be able to bring over save data from the Xbox One as well and carry over Jack updates to New Game Plus.
Earlier in the year, Mike Rayner, technical director onGears 5, revealed that theload times ofGears 5on The Xbox Series X are significantly fasterwith the game loading 4 times faster than its Xbox One counterpart. The speed is without any changes made to the game and simply running on the Xbox Series X hardware. The reduction in load times is one of the many ways Xbox One games will be improved on the Xbox Series X with Microsoft making a big push on the value of the new hardware and the backwards compatibility of the upcoming console.
WithGears Tacticsfinally going goldahead of its November release and the additional content heading toGears 5, it’s a good time to be aGearsfan with a bright future ahead for the franchise on the Xbox Series X and Microsoft’s new focus on 1st party content for the console.
Gears 5is available now on PC and Xbox One, and will be playable on the Xbox Series X at launch on November 12.
