Kaveh, a Dendro Claymore user, has made his appearance in the Sumeru Archon Quest and Alhaitham’s Story Quest, where he displayed his fun personality and interactions with other characters. Fans were excited for his eventual release as a playable character, which came to fruition in version 3.6 update ofGenshin Impact. His role is primarily as aDendro reaction enabler, with his Elemental Burst infusing his normal attacks with Dendro, and his ability to detonate these Dendro cores with his Elemental Skill and Burst. Kaveh, as a 4-star character, presents an intriguing and distinct gameplay style to the game that shares some similarities withNilou’s but without the same niche limitationsshe possesses.

Players who are considering investing in Kaveh’s constellations through the limited-time banner may be wondering if it’s worth their Primogems inGenshin Impact. Each of Kaveh’s constellations offers unique benefits, such as increased healing and damage. Additionally, at C6, Kaveh gains an additional method to deal more damage using Dendro Cores. Below is a detailed breakdown of each of Kaveh’s constellations and their value.

Are Kaveh Constellations Worth It In Genshin Impact?

Unfortunately, while Kaveh is entirely playable at C0, his most important constellations are relatively high. The most crucial constellations to have are C3, C4, and C6. C3 increases the skill damage of his Elemental Burst and also buffs the Dendro Core Burst damage by increasing the talent level. C4 further buffs the Dendro Core Burst damage, and C6 allows Kaveh to burst the Dendro Cores more often, giving him greater control over the explosions. On the other hand, C1, C2, and C5 do not bring as significant benefits as the others and are thus lower priority.

In any case, players who want to go for Kaveh’s constellations can consider going until C4, or alternatively, not focusing on them at all, as he will perform quite well even without access to them.

C1 - Sublime Salutations

Kaveh’s first constellation is a great option for players who prefer a more self-sustaining playstyle. After using his Elemental Skill, he becomes tankier by healing more and taking less damage from Dendro attacks. Given that the Bloom reaction inflicts damage upon exploding to the active character, Kaveh’s first constellation, which allows him to heal more and take less damage from Dendro after using his Elemental Skill, can be particularly useful for teams without a dedicated healer or shielder and relies on Kaveh’s self-healing ability.

However, in team compositions with a dedicated healer or shielder, such as Baizhu, this constellation’s benefit may not be as significant for survival. It’s important to consider the team’s overall strategy and playstyle before deciding to invest in this constellation.

C2 - Grace of Royal Roads

Kaveh’s Elemental Burst ability, Painted Dome, infuses his normal, charged, and plunging attacks with Dendro and grants additional Elemental Mastery bonus for its duration of 12 seconds, with a cooldown of 20 seconds. While his second constellation can help in gaining the full stacks for the bonus even quicker, it’s important to note that Kaveh’s main source of damage and utility comes from exploding Dendro Cores, which are tied to a cooldown. As such, having a few additional normal attacks during his burst’s duration may not significantly impact his overall damage output compared to the benefits of his later constellations.

However, while Kaveh’s second constellation may not provide a significant boost in damage output, it can still be beneficial for players looking to run Kaveh as thesole Dendro characteron their team. This constellation can help increase the frequency and efficiency of Dendro application to enemies, especially if there are noother team members like Nahidacapable of consistently applying Dendro. Overall, while not a top priority for Kaveh’s constellation upgrades, it can still be a helpful addition to his kit in certain team compositions.

C4 - Feast of Apadana

Kaveh’s fourth constellation offers a significant boost to his Bloom burst damage when they are triggered by him. While players will need to pay attention to their team’s rotations to ensure that Kaveh is the one triggering the Bloom reactions, this can easily be achieved with his Dendro infusion. Additionally, the constellation doesn’t specify any particular method for triggering the Blooms, which means it can also be used tosynergize with other characters like Nilouwho can burst the Dendro Cores without waiting for Kaveh’s cooldowns. This makes the fourth constellation a versatile and priority addition to Kaveh’s kit, providing a damage boost that can be utilized in multiple ways depending on the team composition.

C6 - Pairidaeza’s Dreams

Kaveh’s final constellation offers a unique gameplay mechanic that can be useful for players who want to maximize their Dendro core explosions. With this constellation, players can explode the Dendro cores faster than usual, reducing the interval between explosions from 6 seconds to 3 seconds. This means that Kaveh can generate and explode more Dendro cores in a shorter amount of time, dealing more damage to enemies. Additionally, the reduced timer also allows Kaveh to control the explosions more effectively, making it easier to deal with multiple enemies at once.

However, it’s worth noting that this constellation may not be as necessary for players who are using Kaveh in conjunction with Nilou, as she is already capable of exploding Dendro cores quickly. Overall, Kaveh’s C6 is a powerful constellation that offers a unique playstyle to those who are interested in maximizing Kaveh’s Dendro damage output.
