Summary
A newGenshin Impactleak has revealed how well the new character Emilie performs when placed in a team composition that revolves around the Burning reaction.Genshin Impact’s social media accounts have officially announced Emilie for the upcoming Version 4.8.
Emilie’s official splash art has confirmed that she will be a new Dendro user, and she’s rumored to use the polearm as her weapon of choice. While the official introduction did not reveal her rarity, recentGenshin Impactrumors revealed that Emilie will be a five-star unit, making her the first five-star to have this weapon and element combination.

A newGenshin Impactleakhas revealed an interesting video showing in-game footage, featuring the upcoming five-star character Emilie in the same party asthe popular Pyro user Dehya. Emilie’s recently leaked kit details suggest that her playstyle primarily revolves around the Burning elemental reaction, which is unusual for Dendro users. Burning is one of the oldest elemental reactions in the game, and it can be triggered by combining Dendro and Pyro, dealing damage over time. The kit details have also revealed that players should probably avoid using Emilie in team compositions that revolve around the Quicken reaction, since her damage will be reduced against the target affected by this aura.
Genshin Impact Leak Reveals Emilie and Dehya Team Comp Footage
The leaked in-game footage proves that Emilie will have great synergy with the somewhat forgotten Flame-Mane, Dehya. Many fans in the comment section praised HoYoverse for adding a new character that can enhance Dehya’s DPS potential. Even though there was a lot of hype around the Pyro user’s release back in 2023, her kit turned out to be underwhelming and unfitting for a lot of standard team compositions. Many suspect that this is the main reason why HoYoverse decided toinclude Dehya in the less popular Standard Character Banner.
While some comments claim that Emilie would still be better off having a morepowerfulGenshin ImpactDPS, others claim that Dehya is the perfect fit since her Pyro application is higher compared to other characters that use this element. The video also confirms that Emilie will be a powerful off-field support who can dish out tons of damage even when she leaves the field.

When it comes to the rest of the team, players can use two additional Pyro characters, but in that case, Emilie will have to do most of the heavy lifting when it comes to Dendro application. While Burning comps are Emilie’s best fit, rumors suggest she could also be a decent choice forGenshin Impactteams relying on the Vaporize and Melt reactions.
