George R.R. Martin has now commented on all the praiseElden Ringhas been receiving. The writer was brought on to develop the game’s worldbuilding and has stated that the acclaim thatElden Ringhas received thus far is music to his ears. Martin also noted that almost all of the credit for the game’s success should go toElden Ring’s creator, Hidetaka Miyazaki, and his team at FromSoftware.

Before the game released, Miyazaki stated thatGeorge R.R. Martin may have been shocked by what FromSoftware had doneto hisElden Ringcharacters. The author seemingly designed characters and personalities in the game’s lore before The Shattering took place, then FromSoftware took over and made these heroes into twisted boss monsters.
