Grand Theft Auto Onlinehas been a significant success for Rockstar Games and has added to the already impressive longevity ofGrand Theft Auto 5. Most online games need to be frequently updated, andGTA Onlinehas also seen many eventsas well as patches throughout its lifespan. However, the latest update may disappoint fans who have been exploiting systems in the game for financial reward, equally players who have played by the rules will be pleased that the playing field is becoming even once again.
Money is undoubtedly important inGTA Online, and much like real life, finance is essential in the mission to acquire goods. With this in mind, a lot of the gameplay in the online title is based around gaining money and doing challenges for financial reward. Due to the importance of money, exploits that undermine the economy thatGTA Onlinehas built can prove to be disastrous in how the game runs. It now seems that the team behind the game has addressed two major exploits.

There have been two money glitches that have been fixed, the first consisted of changing characters and transferring money while rotating apartments. The second was known as the Cashing Out dupe and players would use the Elegy car to start the mission before quitting with more money than they began with minutes later. An insider at Rockstar, TezFun, tweeted that these issues had been addressed and that players would not be able to exploitGTA Onlinethrough these means. However, some players do have questions about further action from the company.
A lot of fans want these exploiters to be banned and Rockstar has previously removed players for similar actions. At the moment the fix seems to be the full extent of the action by Rockstar Games but there may be further steps by the company if players find a way around these glitches. Understandably, players are annoyed by cheats as it makes the game unbalanced. On top of that,GTA Onlineis currently giving away moneyand with that in mind, players are probably earning the right amount for the missions and adventures they want to enjoy.
It will be interesting to see howGTA Onlinecontinues to address these kinds of issues and if there will be new and inventive implementations to regulate how players will experience the game. While it is unclear whatthe future holds forGTA Online, it is clear that money exploits will become harder for players to do.
Grand Theft Auto Onlineis available now for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
