After months of leaks, rumors, and speculation, Rockstar finally releasedGrand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition. As the name might suggest, the bundle serves as the newest — and now only — available version of theGTA3D trilogy. While many gamers will appreciate the graphical and gameplay improvements, some will have noticed that certain cheats from the original trilogy are missing. Rich Rosado, a producer at Rockstar, has explained that some cheats had to be omitted for technical reasons. While the original trilogy was built using RenderWare, the remasters use the Unreal Engine. Consequently, some cheats could not be implemented.

Although Rosado explained why some cheats are missing, he did not state which cheats did not make the jump from the original to the remaster. Consequently, gamers have been left to make discoveries for themselves. In the process, it hasbeen uncovered that Rockstarhas slipped in some new cheats. A new cheat appears inGTA: Vice Citywhich adds snowy weather. There is also a big head mode that works in all three games by inputting the Konami code. That being said, many fan-favorite cheats are still present in the remastered collection.

GTA Trilogy Missing Cheats - GTA: San Andreas

There are not many games that have garnered themselves as much success, notoriety, controversy, and fame asGTA: San Andreas. Released in 2004,San Andreastakes all the elements that have come to be characteristic of theGTAseries and raises them to ridiculously ambitious levels. The game tells the story of CJ who returns to his neighborhood in Los Santos to find that his gang, Grove Street Families, is in tatters. As he tries to bring his gang back to its previous glory, he has to deal with opposing gangs, corrupt cops, and much more.

The amount of freedom available inSan Andreasis impressive by even today’s standards, which makes the game an excellent sandbox to cause mayhem in. With the right combination of cheats, that chaos can be taken to new heights. The game has a long list of cheats. However, not all the cheats have made it to the remaster. Additionally, the cheats were tested on PS5. Hence, while they may work on PlayStation, things may be different on Xbox, PC, and the upcoming mobile versions of these games. Lastly, if cheats do not work at first, try entering them again really quickly. The games seem to have a very short time window for cheats to be inputted, especiallyGTA IIIandVice City.
