Although the exciting Niantic summer of events is starting to quiet down (especially asPokemon GO’sUltra Rewards enter their final week), there is still plenty for mobile AR fans to do during the second half of August.Harry Potter: Wizards Uniteplayers are in the midst of a two part Brilliant Event, but this weekend they can take a short break to switch gears and enjoy a new Wizarding Weekend.
The weekend event will offer players a handful of bonuses toHarry Potter Wizards Uniteplayers and the chance to encounter some exciting and iconic wonders of the wizarding world. Fans ofthe Weasleys' flying carfrom the books and movies will be particularly pleased with some of the foundables that can be collected during this short event.

From Friday, August 21 at 11 a.m. PT–Monday, August 24 at 11 a.m. PT, keep an eye out for the following:
August Wizarding Weekend Bonuses and Features
Special Assignments focused on returning Wonders of the Wizarding World Foundables with rewards including Potions, Spell Books, Runestones, Spell Energy and a Silver Key.
Increased sightings of the Dirigible Plums, Giant’s Helm, Puking Pastilles Display, Weasleys' Flying Car and Whomping Willow Foundables on the Map and from Tonic for Trace Detection.
Players have a chance to receive a Wonders of the Wizarding World Runestone after returning event Traces.
At this point, that should be enough to get players excited for the event and ready to start preparing. Stay tuned for more details as the actual start date approaches. Within the next few hours we should be able to uncover a full list of any special tasks and rewards available throughout the event. This is usually where the best items are obtained and most users will be motivated to login and put in the time needed to work through each tier. With the new S.O.S. training available and resources at a premium, it will be very interesting to see if any of the event tasks end up rewarding thehighly valuable Defense Against the Dark Arts booksthat many players are desperately trying to stock up on to continue leveling through the S.O.S. skill trees.
