ThroughoutHello Neighbor 2, players will encounter many NPCs guarding the area and some are easier to dodge than others. These Guards all have a certain difficulty since they have certain repetitive actions while the rest are completely unpredictable.

InHello Neighbor 2, Quentin the noisy journalist is trying to enter off-limits areas to uncover his neighbors' secrets. Unfortunately for him, each Act has a Guard that’ll chase him, take everything in his possession, and throw the reporter out of the house. To avoid this scenario, Quentin needs to be discreet when forcing his way into the house.
7Mayor
The Mayor will beguarding his Mansion during Act 4 inHello Neighbor 2. His dog can be found in the front yard barking at Quentin to back off the property.
Thanks to the sheer size of the Mansion, players can easily confuse the Mayor and run away. It’s quite simple to sneak around him or hide from him, as he’s quite slow and can be outrun. To complete the Act, Quentin must sneak around and find all trophies to obtain the Gear-Shaped Key inHello Neighbor 2. If by any chance he gets caught, the Mayor will take all trophies and return them to their original position.

6Librarian
Like the previous Guard, the Librarian can be easily handled since the town’s Library is quite large and has multiple floors. Originally, it appears that the short woman doesn’t mind Quentin’s presence as long as he stays quiet. However, later on, she starts chasing the curious reporter and kicks him out.
The Librarian is really slow and can be easily dodged.Players can simply climb any bookcase inHello Neighbor 2or run outside the Library, and she won’t chase them. In addition, she patrols the first and second floors only, while the rest is inaccessible to her.

5Baker
Once Quentin arrives at the Bakery and enters the patisserie store, The Baker will continue kneading the dough and work normally. The moment players enter through the back door or climb the second floor’s window, she becomes enraged and kicks players out.

The Baker will chase players for a bit then return to the kitchen to make patisseries. It’s a pattern that players can memorize to facilitate their search on the upper floor. Her repetitive movements makethe Baker one of the easiest Guards inHello Neighbor 2.
4Officer Nielsen
Although Officer Nielsen is one of the first NPC players encounter in Act 1, he can become increasingly annoying as soon as Quentin gains access to the second floor. The most infuriating part about the NPC is that he will go through the whole house and search every nook and cranny. And to make matters worse, he will stay in the house for areallylong time, forcing players to stay hidden in the closet.
On the bright side,Officer Nielsen can be outrun inHello Neighbor 2. Quentin can get out of the front door and the Guard will stop chasing him.

3The Janitor
The Janitor isn’t particularly hard to avoid, but his dogs can make things a bit difficult. As players enter the School Building, the Janitor and his three dogs will be roaming the school grounds, guarding the area. This means that players must pay attention to four Guards at once. Although the dogs’ won’t throw players outside the building, they’ll slow them down and bark loudly to catch the Janitor’s attention.

Once players solve the puzzles inside the school and turn on the generator, the Guard and his dogs will leave the school grounds and move to the clock tower. Now, Quentin must head to the shed andgrab the Principal Key inHello Neighbor 2.
2Mr. Otto
Mr. Otto is the bitter neighbor typically seen guarding the Lake House during Act 3 inHello Neighbor 2. What makes him so annoying is that he carries a shotgun around and will shoot Quentin upon seeing him. The shot will slow down the journalist, making it harder to run away from Mr. Otto.

In addition, the house is rather small and contains many awkward spaces that are easy to get lost in.Due to the size of the house inHello Neighbor 2, players will have a hard time escaping this NPC.
1Mr. Peterson (The Neighbor)
Mr. Peterson is the main antagonist inHello Neighbor 2, andhe’s also known as the Neighbor. This character is the prime suspect behind the disappearance of the children. Quentin will encounter the Neighbor every night during all four Acts as the latter roam the Museum. There are two phases for Mr. Peterson; one before opening the attic and the other after saving Aaron.
The first phase is hard but manageable. Players need tosolve the animal statues puzzle to unlock the attic inHello Neighbor 2. While collecting the items, Mr. Peterson will be quick and follow players everywhere. The second phase on the other hand is more difficult. The Neighbor will become extremely fast as if he’s teleporting, and it will be useless to hide in the closet. He will open the closet doors and throw Quentin into the attic. This last phase requires a lot of work and sneaking around without catching the attention of Mr. Peterson.

Hello Neighbor 2is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
