Over the past six years, gamers have seen all sorts of things while playing matches inOverwatch. From incredible plays of the game to unusual glitches and exploits, fans of the team-based first-person shooter have been a part of many memorable moments. However, gamers are still making new andnotable clips inOverwatch, such as one player that realized they could get a kill while waiting for a match to start.

Taking to Reddit, a user known as slideyspider623 shared a video they recently captured from a game ofOverwatch. In the video, the Reddit user played as Roadhog and made an unusual discovery prematch. As is customary inOverwatchmatches on the King’s Row map, the attacking team started in a room outside the first objective while the enemy team took time to set up their defensive strategy. However, one opponent playing as Soldier 76 decided to bypass this step and ran straight up to the door of the waiting attackers. Things did not go well for the DPS player, to say the least.

As the pre-game clock ticked down, slideyspider623 could see the Soldier 76 player outside the door. These doors prevent players on opposing teams from shooting each other and incurring damage. However, the Soldier 76 player unintentionally found a way to bypass this when they decided to do the push-ups emote just outside. Unbeknownst to the enemy, activating the emote caused their head to clip through the door. Recognizing this, Roadhog, being damaged boosted by Mercy, fired two shots at Soldier 76, killing him before the match even began. This unusual incident inOverwatchcaused slideyspider623 to comment, “This will forever be the best kill I’ve ever gotten,” when uploading the clip to Reddit.

Unsurprisingly, numerous members of theOverwatchcommunity on Reddit have taken notice of this strange occurrence prior to the start of the game. Among the comments, one player wondered if the player could have hooked Soldier 76. However, another gamer responded, saying that the hook would have broken because of the door. Interestingly, slideyspider623 is not the only one to have this type of situation happen to them. Another gamer in the comments section revealed they had experienced a similar thing whileplaying Wrecking Ball. However, they admitted they were on the receiving end of the damage. Since slideyspider623 uploaded this clip to Reddit a few days ago, it has received an impressive 4.1K upvotes.

It will be interesting to see what other unusual things happen inOverwatchin the coming days. For instance, another game recently shared a screenshot showing aninsanely long match on the Numbani map. Regardless of what players encounter in-game next, they will want to look out for similar situations of characters clipping through walls pre-game.

Overwatchis available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
