ASkyrimplayer online has shared a bizarre mod that turns a brown bear into a lute-playing musician. It certainly joins the list of theweirdestSkyrimmods ever, even if it has some tough competition for the crown overall.
The world ofSkyrimmodding is a weird and wonderful place, with a community that remains dedicated to fiddling with Bethesda’s iconic RPG over eleven years since its release. There are just so many different types of mods available - on one hand, there are enormous total conversion mods likeSkyblivion, bringing entire remakes of older games intoSkyrim. Then, there are the mods that really don’t take themselves too seriously. Just recently, oneSkyrimmod showed a World War 2 soldier fighting a dragon, and it’s quite a sight. Ultimately, every player will have their own preference. Some wantSkyrimto be the perfect fantasy game, and others just want a fun sandbox to mess around in. Luckily,Skyrimmods are perfect for both.

Redditor tastywarden shared the hilarious video, which begins with the player walking into Markarth. As they enter, they kill Weylin, stopping the assassination of Margret. The fight finishes, and a bear spawns at the scene of the killing. While strange, this is nothing truly out of the ordinar - that is until the bear starts playing the lute as if it’s an electric guitar, and a sped-up version of “Pump It” by the Black Eyed Peas begins to play. It is every bit as chaotic as it sounds, and for those that don’t need the game to be a fully lore-friendly experience, it will surely jump up the list ofbestSkyrimmodsin an instant.
According to the Redditor, the footage comes as a result of the BeArserk V.3 mod forSkyrim, which brings three bear companions along for every Dragonborn’s adventure. It features a variety of songs that the bear is able to play, with “We Will Rock You” by Queen arguably being the most iconic of all. It certainly won’t be for everyone, but anyone that wants to use the mod will certainly find themselves having a good time with it.
Gamers will be hoping thatThe Elder Scrolls 6contains a similar level of modding support forSkyrim, as it’s a massive reason the game remains as popular as it is. With Bethesda revealing that its upcoming titleStarfieldwill be a modder’s paradise, it seems the studio has taken the right lessons from its past releases. While this doesn’t say anything directly aboutThe Elder Scrolls 6, it’s still a great step in the right direction.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimis available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
