Those who haven’t yet experienced the base game may instead want to look toward therecently debutedCyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition. The definitive version of the acclaimed dystopian RPG has also dropped to its historically low price as part of the new sale, which is $51.04 on Steam and $53.59 on the Xbox Store. While the game had a rather rough launch that was held back by last-gen console performance issues and multi-platform bugs, CDPR largely managed to rebound from that controversy. Following years of bug fixes, content drops, and general improvements, the RPG is currently sitting at nearly 653,000 “Very Positive” user reviews on Steam. That redemption arc didn’t come cheap, withCDPR recently revealing it spent over $125 million on fixingCyberpunk 2077.

The company repeatedly said that it is adamant to learn from the game’s troubled launch, which has already prompted it to overhaul its development practices in an effort not to repeat such costly mistakes in the future. The Polish studio’s first attempt at delivering a more polished day-one game will be Project Polaris, which is the official codename of the fourthThe Witchergame. Pitched as the first entry in the second trilogy based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s popular fantasy book series, Project Polaris has entered full-scale development in early 2024 and is currently projected to hit the market circa 2027.
