Reddit user Hvand2806 has garnered 1,200 upvotes on a clip that highlights a potential problem when moving objects withHogwarts Legacy’s Wingardium Leviosa.Hogwarts Legacyplayers will unlock Wingardium Leviosa by progressing through the main campaign, and it’s typically used in the puzzles to levitate platforms so that the witch or wizard can use them to reach higher places. When using this spell after Accio as many players do given the spells' association with one another, Hvand2806 is hit by the crate and hilarity ensues.
Potentially due to falling down a ledge while being struck by the levitating platform, Hvand2806’scustomHogwarts Legacycharacterfalls through the floor, past a centaur in the distance, and through a dense fog. Although theHogwarts Legacyclip concludes before the player reaches the bottom of their fall, it’s likely that their character died at the conclusion or that they had to restart the game entirely to escape the smokey void. While this was a strangely buggy experience inHogwarts Legacy, Hvand2806 has confirmed that it’s the only serious problem that they’ve come across which could hint at how much the game has improved since launch.
Though many ofHogwarts Legacy’s issues have been discovered by the many existing fans, more may come to fruition once the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch ports are released, and they may have their very own problems. Because of how vast Hogwarts and the surrounding landscape are, Hvand2806 isn’t the first player to have fallen through the ground inHogwarts Legacy, andAvalanche Software continues to patch the gameto address each example highlighted by the community.
Hogwarts Legacyis available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, with PS4 and Xbox One versions launching May 5 and a Nintendo Switch port releasing July 25.
