There are multiple regions included in the game’s open-world map. Each one of these regions includes a number of Merlin Trials within them. This guide will focus on how to find and solve all the Merlin Trials In Poidsear Coast.

Another crucial factor is learning Spells that are necessary to complete the riddles within the Merlin Trials. Players will encounter unmovable spheres, hidden fireflies, and solid statues while doing the Trials, and all of them can be solved by using the correct Spells in Hogwarts Legacy. There are many methods to learn new incantations, but the best way is through the Professors at Hogwarts.
All Poidsear Coast Merlin Trials In Hogwarts Legacy
The Poidsear Coast is home to 10 MerlinTrials inHogwarts Legacy. The 10 trials are:
Merlin Trial #1 - Platform Bridge Puzzle
When people first enter the Poidsear Coast region, they will encounter one of the Merlin Trials. By castingRevelio, players can reveal a couple of stone pillars in the water ahead, which marks the starting point of the trial.
To complete this Trial, it’s crucial to jump on each pillar without falling into the water. However, the last jump is nearly impossible as the final pillar is too far from the third one.To successfully make the jump, players must have upgraded the Swift talent, which allows protagonists to dash through the air and reach the last pillar without falling.
Merlin Trial #2 - Firefly Puzzle
The location of this Merlin Trial is west of the Bandit Camp Castle Waypoint in the Poidsear Coast region. After players activate the Merlin Trial, three swarms of fireflies will appear around it. To complete it, castLumosto attract the fireflies and move toward one of the three moonstones. Place the firefly swarm inside the moonstone and repeat the process with the other two pillars.
The first two moonstones are easy to spot, butfor the third one, players must look under the mountain by following the broken train rail.
Merlin Trial #3 - Stone Pillar Puzzle
Located right next to the previous Merlin Trial, there is another Trial situated on the shore of the Poidsear Coast.
When activating the Merlin Trial, players will have to destroy five stone pillars. All the pillars are located within the character’s range, but one is difficult to spot since it’s not out in the open. Protagonists can use Revelio to reveal all five pillars easily. Additionally, players can cast oneConfringoor twoBombardaspells to destroy the pillars.
Merlin Trial #4 - Orbs Platforms Puzzle
Similar to the big stone spherepuzzle inHogwarts Legacy, some Merlin Trials require players to place multiple smaller orbs onto stone platforms. In this particular Trial, there are three platforms surrounded by three groups of orbs.
The first group of orbs is located near its respective platform. To complete the Trial, players must castAccioorWingardium Leviosaon the orbs and move them onto the platform.
The last two groups of orbs are more challenging to find.One group is located on top of a stone tomb with a movable slab. If the orbs fall inside the tomb, players can use Wingardium Leviosa instead of Accio to move them out and place them onto the next platform.
Merlin Trial #5 - Broken Statue Puzzle
The next MerlinTrial inHogwarts Legacyis located in the northeast area of the Poidsear Coast region. When players activate the Trial, a statue will fall apart next to it. Cast Reparo to repair the statue and locate the other two destroyed statues.
The first statue is located next to aPuffskein Den inHogwarts Legacy.The last stone statue can be found on top of a large mountain to the north.
Merlin Trial #6 - Stone Sphere Puzzle
There is a Merlin Trial located next to the bridge that leads to the Marunweemregion inHogwarts Legacy. The stone sphere required to complete the Trial is located next to it. Players need to find the stone pit to complete the challenge.
Tofind the pit, players can cast Revelio to find itunder a wooden board, which players can destroy with Confringo. Cast Wingardium Leviosa to carry the stone sphere to the pit and place it inside to complete the Merlin Trial.
Merlin Trial #7 - Stone Cube Puzzle
This Merlin Trial is located southwest of PoidsearCastle Floo Flame inHogwarts Legacy. To complete the Trial, players must solve three symbol cubes located around it. The bottom cube does not react to spells, while the top cube can only be flipped by castingFlipendoon it.

Merlin Trial #8 - Stone Sphere Puzzle
Once again, a stone sphere Merlin Trial. Players can find it in the middle of the Poidsear Coast region and is easily accessible from most of the Floo Flames in the area. The stone sphere needed to solve this puzzle is right next to the Merlin Trial, so all that’s left is to cast Revelio and find the stone pit, which can be found south of the Merlin altar.
To solve the Merlin Trial, carry the stone sphere with Wingardium Leviosa and move it close to the pit until reaching a broken path. From there, adjust the sphere in mid-air and castDepulsoto land it straight inside the stone pit.
Merlin Trial #9 - Firefly Puzzle
Located southwest of the Phoenix MountainCave Waypoint inHogwarts Legacy, this Merlin Trial requires players to find and transport fireflies into three moonstone pillars. To get started, cast Revelio to locate the moonstones pillars. Luckily, all the fireflies and moonstones are located in proximity to the Merlin Trial, making them easy to find.
However,there is a swarm of fireflies behind a wooden board, located right next to a moonstone. Cast Confringo on the board to destroy it and guide the fireflies toward any of the three moonstones.
Merlin Trial #10 - Brazier Puzzle
The last Merlin Trial is located in the northwest of the Poidsear Coast region. To complete the final Merlin Trial, players mustfind and ignite all three brazierpillars located in the northwest of Poidsear Coast.
Once all the pillars are located, stand between them and quickly cast Confringo on each one. One of the pillars may be concealed behind leaves; use Confringo to light it up and reveal the brazier behind it. Fortunately, all the other pillars are situated in an open field and are easy to access.

Although it’s a small region, the Poidsear Coast Merlin Trials are scattered heavily throughout the area.
Lumos
Lumos is one of the easiest Spells to learn inHogwarts Legacy. Professor Fig will teach it duringThe Path to HogwartsQuest.
Confringo
One of the most powerful combat Spells is Confringo, and weirdly enough, it’s taught by a student rather than a Professor. Sebastian Sallow is notorious for his thirst for knowledge, which shouldn’t be a surprise since all Unforgivable Spells are taught by him.
Once players completeIn the Shadow of the UndercroftQuestinHogwarts Legacy, the Slytherin will teach them Confringo.
Bombarda
While Confringo is enough to destroy the Stone Pillars in the Poidsear Coast Merlin Trials, Bombarda is also a great option to destroy the Pillars. Learning the Spell requireshandling a few creatures inHogwarts Legacysince Students must completeProfessor Howin’s Assignment.
Accio
Similar to Lumos, Accio is learned quite early on in the game. Upon attending the first Charms Class,Professor Ronen will teach Students Accioand have them practice it while playing Summoner’s Court inHogwarts Legacy.
Wingardium Leviosa
Players need to focus on Herbology Class to learn the Levitation Spell, Wingardium Leviosa.Professor Garlick’s Assignment 1Questhas two tasks:
