Players like Reddit user HerrscherOfMagic detailed in a lengthy post why the ability to customize their own space could work in theAstral Express. They suggested that instead of adding decorations to the Parlour Car’s interiors,Honkai: Star Railcould add customizable “guest rooms” where companion characters could hang out and give more interaction options with players. In the past, someHonkai: Star Railplayers requested for a similar feature, but one that would give the Trailblazer their own room instead of sleeping on the Parlour Car couch.
Many people in the comments agreed with HerrscherOfMagic’s suggestion, especially those who’ve invested time and effort on theirhousing inGenshin Impact. However, some noted that HoYoverse might have a hard time implementing this because ofHonkai: Star Rail’s load limit.
While it’s true thatHonkai: Star Railisn’t as graphics-intensive asGenshin Impact, it might still be possible for HoYoverse to add a housing system of some sort. It could go for the guest room approach, especially since the Astral Express Crew would always be out on missions. Version 1.4 will feature newfive-star banner characters Jingliuand Topaz, and four-star Guinaifen, so many players have started saving up Stellar Jades and Star Rail Passes.
