Summary
Honkai: Star Railhas an interesting cast of characters that help expand the game’s universe. This year will be exciting for the game as it will explore a new world, Penacony, and introduce new faces into the mix. Recently, another round ofHonkai: Star Railleaks revealed upcoming playable characters, namely Stephen Lloyd, Feixiao, and Jiaoqiu.
While the latestHonkai: Star Railcharacter leaks didn’t reveal a lot about the three characters, Stephen Lloyd and Feixiao are also not strangers in the game’s lore. Players might have encountered their names in conversations with characters and cinematics. Meanwhile, Jiaoqiu is still an unknown entity in the game’s story. It’s important to note that leaks are not final, soHonkai: Star Railfans should take them with a grain of salt until they are officially confirmed—whenever that might be.

Who Are Stephen Lloyd, Feixiao, and Jiaoqiu in Honkai: Star Rail?
Stephen Lloyd
Also known as member #84 of theGenius Society, Stephen Lloydis one of the creators of the Simulated Universe, alongside Herta, Ruan Mei, and Screwllum. He’s described as quite mysterious because he has no interest in using his abilities, and spends a lot of time in his adoptive father’s fruit shop. Stephen’s first appearance inHonkai: Star Railis in Version 1.6’s Simulated Universe: Gold and Gears, where his avatar occasionally appears.
Stephen Lloyd’s Simulated Universe avatar portrays him with a rubber duck wearing goggles sitting on top of his head.

According to initial reports from prominent leakers, Stephen will “probably” be playable. There’s still no concrete confirmation if he will be a five-star character like Ruan Mei and, reportedly, Screwllum or a four-star like Herta. It’s also possible that he’ll remain an NPC assisting in the further improvement of the Simulated Universe.
Feixiao
The “Merlin’s Claw” Feixiao is one of the Seven Arbiter-Generals of the Xianzhou Alliance’s Cloud Knights. She presides over the Xianzhou Yaoqing, where she led the battle against the Abominations of Abundance, who were afflicted with “Moon Madness.” Sushang often talks about Feixiao as she fought under her leadership before traveling to the Xianzhou Luofu. She also claims thatXianzhou Luofu’s Arbiter-General Jing Yuanis not as good as Feixiao.Honkai: Star Railfans can get a quick glimpse of Feixiao and Xianzhou Yaoqing in the “Myriad Celestia” trailer about the Seven Arbiter-Generals.
While there’s no information yet about Feixiao’s abilities, it’s likely that she will be a damage dealer following thePath of The Hunt, just like Sushang. She’s also described as being fierce and swift, hence the moniker “Merlin’s Claw,” which might translate to her overall kit. Plus, since she’s an Arbiter-General like Jing Yuan, perhaps her Ultimate ability will also feature a godlike figure like the Lightning Lord.

Jiaoqiu
According to leaks,Jiaoqiu will be an upcoming Fire-type character, likely following the Path of Nihility because of their debuff-heavy abilities. Their Skill will reportedly apply two stacks of DEF reduction on a target and adjacent enemies, while their Ultimate will apply more debuff stacks and make enemies more vulnerable to all Ultimate attacks. This information is still subject to change, but if ever, Jiaoqiu will be the second Fire-type Nihility character along with Guinaifen.
Jiaoqiu hasn’t been mentioned inHonkai: Star Rail’s lore so far, so it’s likely that they’re a completely new character. Many fans also noticed that their debuff kit complements the skills ofPenacony characters, which are also heavy in break effects and DEF reduction. However, it’s still unknown if they’ll be part of the Penacony arc inHonkai: Star RailVersion 2.0. But based on their Chinese-inspired name, they might be another Xianzhou Luofu native.
