There’s a huge amount of emphasis placed on combat throughout the course ofFinal Fantasy 16, with the developers keen to highlight the advantages ofthe game’s high-octane hack-and-slash-style combat system. Players can witness this first-hand throughout the game’s many boss fights, but it’s perhaps during the Notorious Mark bounty hunts that the strengths of the new system shine brightest.

During these hunts, players take on a series of increasingly powerful enemies, each of which requires a slightly different strategy to overcome. Unfortunately,Final Fantasy 16doesn’t provide players with the exact locations of every Notorious Mark, with the hunt board instead only offering up the general area in most cases. However, those looking to find every Notorious Mark inFF16can rejoice, as the following guide lets players know exactly where to look for them.

Updated July 13, 2025, by Tom Bowen:It would probably be fair to say that Final Fantasy 16’s side content is a little hit or miss, with many of the game’s side quests serving as little more than glorified fetch quests. The Notorious Mark hunts more than make up for this though, so it’s not too surprising that the devs decided to introduce a few more of them as part of the Rising Tide expansion. Sadly, both DLC hunts are tied to side quests, meaning that players are pretty much told exactly where to look. However, the fights that they’ll find once they arrive at their destinations are every bit as exhilarating as the ones found in the base version of the game.
