There are a ton of different usable materials inSun Haven, and the game leaves players to discover most of them for themselves.Crafting the most basic of geartypically uses common resources, while the more exotic item choices tend to require special ingredients that are a little harder to find.

Such is the case with Feathers, a deceptively-rareSun Havenmaterial that’s used to make Aerodynamic Armor, a set of protective gear that looks and sounds like it fitsa fantasy RPG gamemore than a cozy life sim. The set is great for anyone who plans to do some high-level adventuring, but getting the materials needed for it will require players to invest some extra time and resources on their farm.
Where to Get Feathers in Sun Haven
Baby Griffonsare the only sources of Feathers in the game as ofSun Havenversion 1.03, and they aren’t random monsters that players can just randomly encounter when exploring the wilds. These little critters are actually consideredfarm animals, which means players will have to take care of them like other livestock.
To get a Baby Griffon, players need to reach the hidden elven city of Nel’Vari to the west of their farm in Sun Haven. The path leading toward it is relatively straightforward, but access to the Elven Forest is locked behindstory progress.Players should keep doing quests, and, eventually, Elios the Sun Dragon will ask players to visit Nel’Vari. This bit involvesa lengthy chain of quests, so they should be patient and keep pushing forward.

Once players arrive at Nel’Vari, they should head north and look for Fonzo near the mounts store. To the left of his stall are animal pens, one of which sells Baby Griffons in exchange for100 Mana Orbs, which can be easily obtained by chopping downglowing treesor cutting weeds. Purchased griffons can then be placed inside aBarnalong with other animals. Once that’s done, players can check in on them at least once per day to collect a Feather or two.
Baby Griffons need to eat in order to survive and stay happy, so players may want to consider buying some extraFeeding Stationsand anAutomatic Feeder. The latter is especially helpful since it frees up a lot of time forother activities inSun Haven.

Sun Havenis available now for PC. A Nintendo Switch version is in development.
