Quick Links
Last Epochfollows the many traditional aspects you’d regularly see in other ARPGs, from the isometric camera angle to the class-based combat and extensive progression systems. Naturally, this also includes piles upon piles of loot that players can use to optimize their builds.
Much like inother games in the genre, Sifting through every piece of gear that drops inLast Epochis going to be a pain. Thankfully, there’s a built-in loot filter that’ll save you from the hassle of checking if the item that dropped is worth your time. If you’re wondering how this loot filter works, this short guide’s got you covered.

Last Epoch Loot Filter Guide
If you’re new to this genre of games, a loot filter is a feature that hides or emphasizes the items that drop from enemies, chests, or other sources. Anything that drops onto the floor is subject to the loot filter’s gaze, blockingorhighlightingit depending on the player’s preferred parameters. InLast Epoch, you may configure loot filters by pressing the Shift+F keys while in-game.
Last Epoch’sloot filter functions depending on theruleslisted inside them. What a rule does depends on theconditionsyou set in each one. For first-time loot filter makers, we highly recommend sticking with justone condition per ruleso as not to convolute things any further. Once you get the hang of how things work, feel free to add more conditions per rule.

How to Make a Loot Filter in Last Epoch
Setting up your own custom loot filter can be confusing at first, especially since there are essentially two layers of filter to work with. Not every stat is useful forLast Epoch’sclasses, and for new players, it’s best to focus on finding the right gear that fits your build. As an example, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to make a basic loot filter for aMinion-focused Acolyte:
Experiment with rule conditions as you go. you’re able to use the search bar in the condition selection screen to find specific affixes that you don’t want to see.

Once these rules are set, the names of any item that has Minion-related affixes should now be shown with bold, upper-case letters. Meanwhile, the name tags of all other pieces of gear with the specified conditions above will no longer be visible unless you press X. If you ever plan on switching classes or specializing into a Mastery likeLast Epoch’sLich, then you’ll want to use a different loot filter so you don’t miss out on good gear.
Players also have the choice to import loot filters created by other members of the community. You can find some over atthe officialLast Epochforums.
