Build-Up to the Fight

The sealing of Gojo Satoru in the Prison Realmis what led to the Shibuya Incident in the first place, where he was trapped within the Cursed Object at the Shibuya Train Station. On his way there, Yuji came across Choso, a Cursed Womb Death Painting who blamed him for killing his brothers and wanted revenge for it. This led to a very intense fight between the two, seeing the scale tip both ways at different points, with Yuji using his Divergent Fist andChoso using his Blood Manipulation abilities.

However, Choso was able to overpower Yuji at the end in a hand-to-hand exchange after his Blood Manipulation could not be used anymore. With Yuji lying unconscious, Choso was getting ready to deal the killing blow, but he saw a vision that made him lose his mind, running out of the area in panic and confusion. This iswhere Yuji was found by Nanako and Mimiko; the girls Geto saved at the end of the Hidden Inventory arc.

Sukuna Wakes Up

After entering the scene, they fed Yuji’s unconscious body a Sukuna Finger in hopes of waking the King of Curses, who they hoped would help them free Geto’s bodyfrom the one that was inhabiting it. However, just as they did this, Jogo quickly entered the scene, and seeing how he had always wanted there to be an age of curses, he fed Yuji another 10 fingers. He did this so that Sukuna would wake up and help in achieving this goal.

Upon waking up, he asks Jogo and the girls what they want from him. After the girls state their wish and the reward that awaits Sukuna if he helps them, he kills the sisters, feeling insulted that they tried toblackmail him by only offering one finger. After turning his attention to Jogo and hearing his wish, Sukuna promises to help the Special Grade curse out only if he can land a single hit on the King. And so, the battle begins.

Sukuna Vs. Jogo

The scene would then cut to Kusakabe and Panda walking across Shibuya, trying to find Gojo and saving people if they came across them. Just then, they got stopped by a group of curse userswho had ambushed them but just as the heroes got ready to fight, a massive explosion would divert all of their attention. This was caused by the fight between the two Special Grade curses.

From one action-packed scene to the next, the fanswere watching a spectacle unfoldright before their eyes as Sukuna was mercilessly beating Jogo, throwing him through buildings and into the air. The Volcano Curse, however, is no slouch either. Every hit that Sukuna landed on him was met by a barrage of fire and lava-based attacks in retaliation, scorching and burning the Earth itself with every strike. Jogo showed the world that he was themost destructive and dangerous of all the Disaster Curses.

The fight would eventually lead to Sukuna punching Jogo through the ground, causing him to lash out in vicious anger and make lava flow through every inch of that area of Shibuya. This raised the overall temperature of the area by many degrees as Jogo would conjure up such incredibly powerful attacks invain attempts to even bruise the King of Curses. However, nothing seems to be working out for him.

From the very start of the fight, fans saw that Sukuna was merely toying with Jogo, continuously bringing out more of the Curse’s arsenal with him usingmoves that fans have never even seen beforesuch as a machine gun burst of flame. However, nothing ever seemed to faze Sukuna, who was acting as the aggressor in the fight by always engaging Jogo head-on and slicing him to pieces before attacking him and casually taking all of the Cursed Spirits’s moves. This fight was the perfect way to show uswhy Sukuna is called the King of Curses.

The fight saw Jogo come to terms with the difference in strength between him and Sukuna, who used his Cursed Technique with such efficiency that he was able to cut Jogo’s lava. Jogo’s attempt to crush Sukuna with massive lava hands between buildings also proved to be ineffective, forcing him to use his Maximum Techniquein the hopes of crushing his enemy for good. However, Sukuna managed to dodge the attack despite making a game out of it.

Towards the end, Sukuna came face to face with Jogo on top of his Maximum: Meteor attack and showed the fanswhy he is in a league of his own. He unleashed a move that no one even knew he was capable of by speaking a phrase followed by the word ‘open’. In doing so, Sukuna gained access to his very own fire powers that somehow burned even brighter and more fiercely than Jogo’s flames, leading to both characters shooting their flames at one another. In the end,all that remained was Jogo’s burning corpsewith Sukuna looking down at him, definitively declaring him the winner of the battle.

The 3 of them would have a tender reunion, as well asputting their faith in Mahitoto carry out their goals in the end, with Jogo finally remarking about how he could not achieve what he had wanted all this time.

However, this scene had an unexpected visitor when Jogo turned around to see Sukuna. At this point, Sukuna tells Jogo that he understands what he wants in his life, and while he personally sees it as dull, he empathizes with Jogo and his ambitions.
