What Are Aliments in Last Epoch?
The best way to describe Aliments inLast Epochis to call them debuffs. There are various negative status effects that can both cause damage and weaken whoever is inflicted. Some of them can be applied with the help of skills and weapons, while others can be applied from the environment. They play an important role in the game’s combat system, so if you want to create an effective build, you need to understand them. It’s also important to know how Ailments work since your character can also suffer from them.

Most Aliments fall into the second category, which allows you tocreate builds for every taste. However, the most effective are hybrid ones, such as the good old Poison. It not only deals damage, but also reduces Poison Resistance.
How Aliments Scale in Last Epoch
This is the hardest part of Aliments, as many of them are damage-over-time effects (DoTs). Thus, you can only increase damage by increasing the duration of the effect. Alternatively, you can use the More Damage node for the corresponding skill. However, this is only true if this node does not specialize on hit.
As for non-damaging Aliments, they can be boosted by increasing the chance of applying a debuff. Of course, there are a few exceptions, such as Stun, which scales with your damage. Also, it is important to note that if the stacking chance exceeds 100%, then you will have a chance to cast several stacks at a time. But again, this will not work for all debuffs; for example, Fear can be applied once and cannot stack.
