Like A Dragon: Ishin!allows players to run a small farm and connected business, along with owning a house outside the city where they can rest and heal up. Using this “Another Life” mechanic allows players to acquire vegetables, cook food, and complete orders to earn money.
InLike A Dragon: Ishin!, players will need to complete the first three chapters of the game before they can unlock Another Life. After this, a sidestory becomes available that unlocks the system and provides a brief tutorial for it.

How to Unlock Another Life
After reaching chapter 4 of the main story, players only need to head over to the gate that links Fushimi to Rakugai. The priest that taught players about the Virtue system in chapter 2 is currently here, speaking to a young woman who’ll probably look familiar to anyone who played the mainlineYakuza/Like A Dragongames.
After listening in on the conversation for a while, our protagonist jumps in, and before long, players will be shown to Haruka’s family home. After a quick tour, Sakamoto Ryouma will offer to take on Haruka’s debt in exchange for getting to live there with her when he has the time to visit. This leads Haruka to give a more in-depth tour, showing players where they need to go to cook, access the business menu, and farm.
After the tour, Another Life is unlocked, and players can now take full advantage of this system.

How Another Life Works
Now that the system is unlocked, players can make use of the various amenities around the area. It is also now possible to travel to and from the area by speaking to a boatman in Fushimi.
Players caninteract with the small structure near the farmland to manage their farm, allowing them to instantly harvest all available crops and set their farm plan. This allows players to select which crops to plant on a grid, and more crops can be unlocked for planting by spending Virtue at a shrine (like the one next to the main gate).
Players are also able to head inside the house and manage the business Haruka’s family used to run. This allows players to complete orders and send Haruka out to deliver them, earning a tidy profit in the process. This is a great way of making money off of farm goods andfish from the various fishing spotsthe game offers.

Players canhead over to the cooking area in the house to use any ingredientsthey have on hand to cook up meals, which can be used as very effective and cheap healing items. They are also sometimes used to fill orders for the business and earn some extra cash.
On the subject of money, players will receive a letter from the current landlord periodically, requesting 20 Ryo towards Haruka’s 100 Ryo debt. These only arrive once the player has made 20 Ryo from the farm and accompanying business, so players won’t have to worry about lacking the funds for it. Money earned from other sources doesn’t cause these letters to arrive sooner but can be used to pay the debt when the letters arrive.
