She has great Utility, Poke, and Burst Damage capabilities alongside long-range, especially on her Ultimate Ability, which has infinite range. Lux can be quite oppressive in multiple lanes, making her not a bad choice for a flexible pick in Drafts since she can Support, Mid Lane and even Top Lane in certain niche matchups. Let’s get into how to counter Lux.

Champions

Soraka

Soraka is a Support that provideshealingto allies on her team while disrupting enemy attacks. Soraka’ssilencingability makes it so enemies hit by it cannot cast abilities temporarily. Since Lux is a Mage, being Silenced essentially makes her useless because her Auto Attacks don’t deal any meaningful damage.

Janna

Janna is a Support that canShieldandHealallies while knocking back and knocking up foes that try to attack her or her allies. Lux may have a lot of Burst Damage but it usually will not be enough to kill an allywho is being protectedby Janna’s shields and heals. Also, if Lux misses her snare on Janna, she can slow Lux down while speeding up her allies and the Champion won’t be able to escape easily due to her immobility.

Blitzcrank

Blitzcrank is a Support that can pull enemies towards himself, knock them up andSilencethem. Given that Lux’s defenses are really low, being pulled away and isolated from her team will allow her to be quickly killed by Blitzcrank’s allies. If that’s not bad enough, Blitzcrank’s Silence can interrupt Lux while she’s doing her skill combo. Without her having the luxury of her ideal setup, Lux, won’t be able to utilize her Burst Damage properly.

Seraphine

Seraphine is a Mage / Support that can Heal and Shield allies whileSnaringandCharmingfoes. However, Seraphine also is a damage threat as well, similar to Lux, she can deallarge amounts of BurstDamage as well. Seraphine’s skill combo is much easier to land when compared to Lux’s, and she can nullify some incoming damage from Lux, which makes her less threatening.

Nami

Nami is a Support that canHealallies andCrowd Controlenemies with ease. Nami will be able to easilymitigate most of the damageLux deals in the laning phase with her heals. Sustain does wonders against Poke Damage.

Later on, when Lux gains access to her full combo and some items, which is what makes her become a Burst threat, Nami can easily interrupt her or make Lux an easy pick for her allies. Landing one bubble on Lux will typically result in death, due to her low defenses.

Senna

Senna is a Markman that usually plays the Support role and can harass Lux a lot whileHealingandShieldingherself and her allies. Senna will typicallygain an advantagein the laning phase, which will already hurt Lux’s damage output because she will be behind in Gold. If Lux manages to land a snare on an ally to set up her skill combo, Senna can preemptively use her Ultimate to ensure the safety of her teammate.

Crowd Control

(CC) is an effect that can disrupt or hinder the movement or action of a Champion. Hard CC is very powerful when used against enemies with low defenses (Stuns, Snares, Knockups, etc.) such as Lux.It allows players to killLux before she gets a chance to fight back. Soft CC (Slows, Blind, etc.) also are very impactful on Lux because she is very immobile and susceptible to being burst down by enemy Mages and Assassins.
